Baugh~m~n Lenora K. ark James T. Vocelle The minutes of the regular meeting of December 14, were read and approved. Mayor Badger reported that his committees work in reference to the dredging of Indian River completed and that the sand was now being discharged on the East side of the channel as requested by the Council. In reporting on the old school property the Mayor said he had arrang6d with Councilman Hardee to meet with the Board and asked that Councilman Hardee report on it. Councilman Hardee reported that he appeared before the County School Board at their regular meeting on December 21, at which time representatives of the local trustees were also there. That he was led to believe that the Board would concede to the Councils' wishes but since that, a letter from the Superintendent of public instruction advised they could not do anything in the matter. Councilman Park moved that City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance amending ordin~nce number 67 pertaining to slot machines so as to permit two n~chines in the same location for one license of $100.00 which was seconded by C~uncilman Hardee and carried 'by the following vote: Yeas:Councilmen Park, Hardee, Hicks, Baughman and Martin. Nays: None In organizing for the coming year president Nartin recommended a change Councilman Hardee moved that Councilman Hicks be appointed President of the City Council, which was seconded by Councilman Martin and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Councilmen Hardee, Park, Baughman and Martin Nays: None. Councilman Park moved that Councilman Baughman be appointed President pro tern, which was seconded by Councilman Hardee and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Councilmen Hardee, Martin, Park, and Hicks. Nays: None. Councilman Hicks moved that City o~~ Sebastian retain James T. Vocelle as city attorney for the ensuing year, same agreement as of 'the past year; which was seconded by Councilman Park and carried by the following vote: Yeas Councilmen Hicks, Park, Hardee, Baughman and Martin. Nay s: N one. Mayor Badger thanked the Council for their Cooperation in assisting him during the past year and with their continued cooperation he would be encouraged to put forth added effort for the year 1~32. Councilman Hicks moved that the old school property which is not being used be included in the suits for foreclosure, which was seconded by Councilman Park and carried by the following vote: Yeas Councilm&~ Hardee, Park, Hicks, Baughman and Mar~in. Nays: None. Motion made by Councilman Park, Counci 1 adjourn. Motion carried. seconded by Councilman Hardee, that THE REGU~ MEETING OF J~UJARY ll,/~J~A DJOURNED OF NOT H~VING ~ QUORUM. ~ ~N ~C COUNT
