Mitchell Gentlemen: I hereby calla special meeting of the City Council,to meet at the Cit2 Hall Friday, Dec. 29, 1932, a~ 7:30 o'clock for considering clerk amd audit. Signed, Geo.T. Badger, Mayor. The meeting was called to order., all councilmen present, Miss Lenora K. Park gave her resignation, Councilman Vickers moved that it be accepted,~econd by Baughman, and that she c operate in the transfer of the office Dec. 30th, also in addition to one-half month's salary~ that will be due her,~nd $75.00 be paid her also. Vote as follows: Baughman, Glasgow, V/e~ ~Mields, Hardee. The Council also tendered Miss Park, avote of thanks for her faithful service as r Mayor GEO. T. Badger appointed P. P. Lawson as clerk to fill tho unexpired term of Miss Park, and was confirmed by following council: Fields, Glasgow, Baughman, Hardee, Vicke not voting. Agreement between City of Sebastian and P. P. Lawson. This agreement was made and entered into by and between the City of Sebastian, Flo=ida a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the City and P. P. Lawson of Sebastian, Fla:ida hereinafter called the clerk, witnesseth:.That in consideration of the mutual covenants~ herein contained, the City herewith employs the clerk to a6t as $ity clerk, Tax assessor, City Tax Collector, and City Registration Officer, of said city, for a period beginning upo~ the execution and delivery of this instrument, and expiring on the llth. day o~ December,193 and does agree to pay said clerk, a salary for said s~r~ices o f $12.oo per week. The said clerk does agree to keep the office of the City clerk, located at such place as may be from time to time designated by the City Council of said ~lty, open to the public for the transaction of business, from the hours of one o'clock to five o'clock P. M. each w~ week day, excepting legal holidays and to employ himself in the work of said City, during E~ said hours, and also to give any time additional to said hours that may necessary in order to properly care for the offices herewith assumed by the clerk, and business of said city during said hours and to charge and to receive no additional compensabion for such addi- tional that may bo necessary, it being agreed that the said compensation of ~12.00 per week, shall co ver all services necessary, and all time necessary to be employed by the sai clerk in the duties herewith provided; that in the event said clerk should be requested to transact business outside of the City of Sebastian, by the City Council of said City compensation of said servicos outside of said City shall be arranged for at the time such sorvices shall be reeuested by the City Council. The clerk, does agree to perform any and all duties provided to be performed by ~1 City Clerk, City Tax Assessor, City Tax Collector, and City Registration Officer under the constitution of the laws of the state of Florida, and the ordinances and resolution. of the City Council of said city now or existing or hereinafter enacted. Witness the said signatures of said parties at Sebastian, ~lorida, this 295h, day of December,1932. City of Sebastian, by Geo. T. Badger, Mayor, and P. P. Lawson, Clerk. The move was seconded by Councilman Glasgow, and voted as follows; Ayes, Fields, Vicke~ Glasgow, Baughman, Hardee, nays, none. Fields moved that clerk be instructed to.procure a surety bond upon himself as City 0f~icial in his various official capacities, payable to the City on its behalf, in the sum $1.000.oo, and present same at next regular meeting, on Jan. 9th, 1933, premium on said bond to be paid by City. Second by Councilman Glasgow, and voted as follows; Fields, Vlckers, Glasgow, Hardee, Baughman, nays, none. Fields moved Councilman be instructed to obtain competent auditor, to check on ml~ retiring clerk, and check in the new o~erk, at earliest possible moment at a cost not to exceed $15.00, second by Glasgow, vote as follows~!Fields, Glasgow,'Vickers, Hardee, Baughman, nays none. Motion to adjourn, was carried, moeting adjourned. December, 30, 1932. Honorable Mayor and City Council, City of Sebastian, Florida. Gentlemen: Asrequested we have audited the cash receipts and disbursements from Dec. 10, to date of our last audit through December, 30, 1932, and present herev~'lth our report; General Fund Cash on hand .36 Cash in bank 219.61 Total, 21~.97 Paving Fund Cash in Bank 8. 8.18 Cash in bank was reconciled with statement furnished by Farmers Bank of Veto Beach. Cash on hand was verified by count, and turned over to Mr. P. P. Lawson incoming City Clerk by Miss Lenora K, Bark.
