Braddock R. G. Hardee Clerk A.G. Roberts Attorney James T. Vocelle Engineer Miller Ha llowe s Councilman. J. L. Montgomery was found to be absent. Minutes of the previous meetings of November 28th and December 2nd, were read and approved. The returnS of the general City election held at Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, on December 12th, 1927, signed by the Clerk and the majority of the inspectors of said election, were received by the City Council and filed by the City Clerk. The City Council !:~roceeded to canvass the returns and the result of said election as shown by said returns, and thereupon Councilm~n R. G. Hardee introduced the following resolution: Whereas, it ~ppears from the returns of the general City election held December 12, 1927, duly certified in duplicate by the Clerk and the majority of the inspectors 6f said election, and delivered~by such inspectors and'~lerk to the City Clerk, and by him transmitted to the City Council, that the votes cast at said election were as follows, to-wit: and, For Mayor: George T. Badger received 43 votes. For members of the City Council, two to be elected: W. C. Braddock received 44 votes. P. P. Lawson received 43 votes. ~ereas, the City Council has canvassed the returns and the results as shown by the certificate of tho Clerk and Inspectors of the election aforesaid and has found the same correct; therefore, Be It ResolVed, tt~t the results of the general ' city election held in the City of Sebastian, Florida, on December 12, 1927, be and the same is hereby declared to be as fol~ows: For ~ayor: George T. Badger For Councilman: W. C. Braddock P. P. Lawson and that George T. Badger be, and he is hereby declared to have been duly elected as Mayor ~f the City of Sebastian, for the term of two years next ensuing and that W. C. Braddock and ~. P. Lawson, be, and they are hereby declared to have been duly elected councilmen of the City of S~bastian, Florida, for the ensuing two years. The foregoing resolutions have been put to vote, was adopted as follows: AYES: Councilmen R. G. Hardee, S. A. Park and W. ~. ~rtin NAYS: None Oaths of office were executed by Geor~e T. Badger ~s Mayor, W. C. Braddock and P. P. Lawson as Councilmen, said ~'~yor and Councilmen thereupon being duly q~alified to hold their respective offices for two years as Mayor and City Councilmen. B. McCrary Company for the purchase of $56,000 and $11,500 I~provcment Bonds of said City, at and for the sum of 95 cents on the dollar plus accrued interest to date, be, and the same is hereby accepted in accordance with said bid. The foregoing resolution being 'put to a vote was adopted as follows: Ayes: Councilmen ~Iartin, Braddock, Hardee and Park. Chapter., No. 45 ~ 0rdinanco making it unlawful for dogs to be ~pon or roam· at large upon the strc:ets or alleys of the City of Sebastian, ~lorida, providing a penalty for the violation of this 0rdinanco .'.and for other purposes, was read for the first time in full. MOTION made by ounc~lman Braddock, seconded by Councilman I~ark, that Ordinance be road the Second time by title only. ~ot ion carried. MOTION made by Councilman Park, seconded bY ounc~lman Braddock, that Ordinance be read the third time by title only and put upon its pass·age. Motion carried. Roll call on Ordinance, the ~o'te was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Braddock, Park, Hardee ,Na~t in and Lawson. I~0TION made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Park, that Ice bids be received until 7:30 o'clock P,M., December 26th, 1927, there being no bids for City retail ice delivery advertised to be received until 7:30 o'clock P.M. December 12th, 1925. RESOLUTION N0.~ ~ The following resolution was introduced by Counci~an Braddock and seconded by Councilman Park: Whereas, the City Co~ncil of the City of Sebastian, Florida, did by resolution duly'adopted ~n the 24th day of October, 1927, provide for the issuance of $11,500 Sidewalk Improvement Bonds of said City, and ,Whereas, said resolution did not specifically designate the ~umber which should be attached to the bond in the denomination of $500.00, Therefore, Be It Resolved, by' the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that Bond No. 1£ of the Sidewalk Improvement issue, dated November 15t~, 1927, and known as Sidewalk Bonds 9298-D, shall be in the denomination of ~500.00, while bonds numbered 1 to 11 inclusive of said issue shall be in the denomination of $1,000.00 each. Whereupon said resolution being put to a vote was adopted as follows: Ayes: Nays: Councilmen Braddock, Park, Hardee, Martin and Lawson. None. MOTION made by Councilman Braddock, seconded by COuncilman Bark, that Council adjourn to meet again at 7:30 o'clock P.M., December 14th, 1927. Motion carried. -~
