PRESENT: CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH, JOSEPH BARBOLINE, KENNETH MEGUIN, DEBORAH PALMER, MICHAEL KENNEY, EX -OFFICIO MEMBER JOHN VAN ANTWERP. ABSENT: ~ENE VAN DE VOORDE (EXCUSED); ROBERT THOMAS, FRANK DE JOIA. MOTION BY MR. MEGUIN, SECONDED BY MR. BARBOLINE, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF DECEMBER 27, 1983. CARRIED. MR. VAN ANTWERP STATED THAT THE BID FOR THE AIRPORT STRIPING HAS BEEN AWARDED AND JOB SHOULD BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. HE HAS TALKED TO DOT AND FAA RE- GARDING THE MASTER PLAN. THE PLAN MUST BE TAKEN FROM DOT IN ITS PRESENT FORM AND GIVEN TO FAA WHO WILL LOOK AT IT AND DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO ACCEPT IT BEFORE THEY CAN CONSIDER OUR REQUEST FOR A GRANT FOR MASTER PLANNING WHICH QUIRES THE HIRING OF A CONSULTANT. HE IS IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING UP THE PRECISE METHODS REQUIRED FOR ADVERTISING FOR A CONSULTANT. A LETTER HAS BEEN WRITTEN AND SIGNED BY MAYOR FLOOD AND MR. VAN ANTWERP REGARDING THE RUNWAY EXTENSION AND THE PUD. THE LETTER DATED JANUARY 18, ADDRESSED TO MR. VICK, THE PUD DEVELOPER, WAS READ BY CHAIRMAN PALUCH. MR. VAN ANTWERP ADVISED THAT HE HAS RECEIVED A REQUEST FROM GIL SWIGERT FOR THE FLORIDA FLYING FEZ TO HAVE A FLY-IN AT THE AIRPORT. HE ADDED THAT HE COULD SEE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS AND TOLD THEM TENTATIVELY TO GO AHEAD. HE DID TELL MR. SWIGER THAT HE DIDN'T THINK TOUCH-AND-GO REGULATION COULD BE SUSPENDED FOR THIS EVENT. CHAIRMAN PALUCH COMMENDED MR. SWIGER FOR ADVERTISING THE AIRPORT. MOTION BY MR. KENNEY, SECONDED BY MR. BARBOLINE, TO ACCEPT THE FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 12/31/83. CARRIED, CHAIRMAN PALUCH READ A LETTER DATED JANUARY l0 ADDRESSED TO MR. VAN DE VOORDE FROM ATTORNEY KILBRIDE REGARDING THE GOLF COURSE LEASE. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 4:30 P.M.
