IMEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH AT 4:00 P.M.
PRESENT: CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH, KENNETH MEGUIN, MICHAEL KENNEY, GEORGE METCALF,
RENE VAN DE VOORDE, ROBERT MORROW, ROGER COOPER, EARL MASTELLER (ARRIVED'JUST BEFORE
ADJOURNMENT), EX-OFFICIO MEMBER JOHN VAN ANTWERP.
MOT.tON BY MR. KENNEY, SECONDED BY MR. MEGUIN, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF FEBRUARY 25, 1986. CARRIED.
NO COMMENTS WERE MADE ON THE OPERATING STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING 2/28/86.
MR. VAN ANTWERP ADVISED THAT THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOWING
TIlE RUNWAYS AND HERBICIDE WILL BE PUT ON IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS WITH THE COOPERATION OF
PUBLIC WORKS AND NEWTON KRAGES.
THE COUNTY DOES NOT WISH TO BECOME INVOLVED IN A REGULAR PROGRAM OF SWEEPING ROCKS OFF
THE RUNWAYS. MR. VAN ANTWERP WILL KEEP TRYING TO CONTACT PAN-AM WHO HE UNDERSTANDS
HAS A RETAIL SERVICE TO LEARN HOW MUCH MONEY IS INVOLVED.
MR. VAN ANTWERP GAVE A BRIEF REPORT OF HIS ATTENDANCE AT THE FLORIDA AIRPORT MANAGERS
MEETING.
MOTION BY MR. METCALF, SECONDED BY MR. MEGUIN, TO RECOMMEND TO CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL
OF AN AGREEMENT FOR SEBASTIAN AERO SERVICES 7'0 []SE THE PARKING AREA ON THE NORTH/SOUTH
TAXi' WAY AT THE SEBASTIAN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. CARRIED.
MR. JIMMY GOFF, AIRPORT CONSULTANT, ADVISED THAT THE FAA HAS APPROVED THE APPLICATION
FOR A GRANT. CONTRACTS HAVE BEEN EXECUTED WITH THE CITY FOR PREPARATION OF THE MASTER
PLAN. AFTER MR. GOFF OUTLINED THE NEXT STEPS TO BE TAKEN, THERE WAS A QUESTION AND
ANSWER PERIOD BETWEEN HIM AND THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD.
