SINCE MR. VAN ANTWERP WAS UNAVOIDABLY DETAINED~ rHE BOARD SECRETARY MADE THE FOLLOWING
REPORT FOR HIM: HE H]LS MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO ATTEND THE FLORIDA AIRPORT MANAGERS' CON-

TO CONTACT CITY ATTORNEY PALMER RE' BACKGROUND CHECKS ON PROSPECTIVE TENANTS, BUT HAS
NOT DONE SO IN VIEW OF THE CITY COUNCIL'S NEGATIVE ATTITUDE TOWARD SO DOING. AS
REQUESTED, HE TALKED~ID MR. GOFF RE LIFTING THE AIRPORT MORATORIUM. MR. GOFF RECOMMENDED
THAT THIS NOT BE DONE UNLESS SOMETHING REALLY BIG CAME UP. MR. VAN ANTWERP DID NOT
MENTION WHAT PROGRESS W]~ BEING MADE WITH THE FAA OR WHY MR. GOFF DID NOT ATTEND OUR
MEETING WHEN INVITED. CHAIRMAN PALUCH ADDED THAT HE HAD TALKED WITH MR. VAN ANTWERP
AND SINCE' THERE ARE NO FUNDS PRESENTLY AVAILABLE AND WE ARE MAINTAINING COMMUNICATION
WITH MR. GOFF, HE' PERSONALLY IS SATISFIED THAI" THERE WOULD BE NO POINT TO ASKING MR.
GOFF TO ATTEND A MEETING. MR. VAN DE' VOORDE THOUGHT THERE MIGHT BE SOME ALTERNATIVES
TO TAKE RATHER THAN JUST WAITING. HE WAS PARTICULARLY DISTURBED THAT HE FAILED TO
RESPOND TO OUR INVITATION. THERE' W2lg A DISCUSSION ON VARIOUS QUESTIONS AND INFORMATION
