ROLL CALL: PRESENT: ROGER COOPER, GEORGE METCALF, EARL MASTELLER, ROBERT MORROW, RENE VAN DE VOORDE, MICHAEL KENNEY, CHAIRMAN ED PALUCH. ALSO PRESENT: COUNCILMAN LLOYD RONDEAU ABSENT: KENNETH MEGUIN (EXCUSED) EX-OFFICIO MEMBER, JOHN VAN ANTWERP (EXCUSED) MOTION BY MR. METCALF, SECONDED BY MR. COOPER, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 30, 1986. ALL AYES: ~Q~Q~ ~EE~ NO COMMENTS WERE MADE ON THE OPERATING STATEMENT ENDING 9/30/86. JOHN VAN ANTWERP WAS ABSENT. JOHN VAN ANTWERP WAS ABSENT. A LENGTHY DISCUSSION TOOK PLACE ON CITY COUNCIL'S TABLING OF ACTION ON PHASE I OF THE MASTER PLAN. CHAIRMAN PALUCH REMINDED THE COMMITTEE THAT THEY ARE ONLY AN ADVISORY BOARD AND HAD ALREADY RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL THAT THEY PROCEED WITH THE MASTER PLAN. FRANK DEJOIA, PAST MEMBER OF THE AIRPORT BOARD, EXPRESSED CONCERN FOR THE HIGH NUMBER OF OPERATIONS AND THE FACT THAT THE PUBLIC HAD NO INPUT ON PHASE I. COUNCILMAN RONDEAU STATED THAT THE COUNCIL TABLED ACTION DUE TO A MEMO FROM PLANNING AND ZONING RECOMMENDATION THE ACQUISITION OP 385 ACRES OF AIRPORT PROPERTY FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OTHER THAN AIRPORT RELATED INDUSTRY. MR. COOPER READ THE MEMO IN ITS ENTIRETY. MOTION BY MR. THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN. METCALF TO REAFFIRM THE PREVIOUS MOTION PASSED BY BOARD RECOMMENDING THAT COUNCIL PROCEED WITH THE MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. MOTION BY MR. VAN DE VOORDE TO RECOMMEND THAT CITY COUNCIL MOVE FORWARD ON MASTER PLAN IN WHATEVER MANNER THEY FEEL NECESSARY. CHAIRMAN PALUCH AGAIN REMINDED THE BOARD THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY MADE THEIR RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL. MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. NONE.
