PRESENT: CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH, KENNETH MEGUIN, FRANK DE JOIA, RENE VAN DE VOORDE,
JOHN VAN ANTWERP. (MICHAEL KENNEY ARRIVED AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 P.M.)
ABSENT: DEBORAH PALMER, JOSEPH BARBOLINE, EARL MASTELLER.

REGULAR MEETING OF AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD - OCTOBER 30, 1984
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH AT 4:30 P.M.
PRESENT: CHAIRMAN EDWARD PALUCH, KENNETH MEGUIN, FRANK DE JOIA, RENE VAN DE VOORDE,
MICHAELKENNEY~ JOHN VAN ANTWERP.
ABSENT: DEBORAH PALMER, JOSEPH BARBOLINE, EARL MASTELLER (ALL EXCUSED).
MOTION BY MR. DE JOIA, SECONDED BY MR. MEGUIN, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF SEPTEMBER 25, 1984. CARRIED.
MOTION BY MR. VAN DE VOORDE, SECONDED BY MR. DE JOIA, TO APPROVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT
FOR THE 12 MONTH PERIOD ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1984. CARRIED.
MR. VAN ANTWERP REPORTED THAT THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED FALL MOWING WILL BE DONE BY THE
STREET DEPARTMENT SHORTLY. ALSO, HE IS MAKING ARRANGEMEN~ WITH THE GOLF COURSE TO
PUT OUT HERBICIDE. A PARKING AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA SKYWAYS, DRAWN UP BY ATTORNEY
PALMER, WAS PRESENTED BY MR. VAN ANTWERP. THIS WILL BE AN AGENDA ITEM FOR THE NEXT
MEETING. MR. VAN ANTWERP ATTENDED A MEETING WITH MR. VICK ON THE SAINT SEBASTIAN PUD
AND ALSO ATTENDED THE PUBLIC HEARING IN CONNECTION WITH RUNWAY EXTENSION, CLEAR ZONE
EXTENSION, ETC., AND MADE KNOWN OUR WISHES. THE DOCUMENT APPROVED BY THE TREASURE
COAST REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL ADDRESSES SOME OF THE ISSUES, BUT MR. VAN ANTWERP
WILL TRY TO KEEP ON TOP OF IT AND HOPEFULLY, THE AIRPORT CONSULTANT WILL BE ABLE
TO GIVE SOME INPUT. THE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD WILL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY FUTURE
MEETINGS.
MOTION BY MR. MEGUIN, SECONDED BY MR. DE JOIA, TO SELECT POST, BUCKLEY, SCHUH &
JERNIGAN.
AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION, IT WAS AGREED TO HAVE A VOICE VOI~ OF EACH MEMBER'S PRE-
FERENCE. MR. DE JOIA WITHDREW HIS SECOND; MR. MEGUIN WITHDREW HIS MOTION.

THERE HAD BEEN A PREVIOUS DISCUSSION ON WHETHER HE WAS ELIGIBLE TO
VOTE DUE TO HIS NOT HAVING BEEN PRESENT DURING THE INTERVIEW WITH
POST BUCKLEY.)
MOTION BY MR. MEGUIN, SECONDED BY MR. DE JOIA, TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL
THAT THE FIRM OF POST, BUCKLEY, SCHUH & JERNIGAN BE HIRED AS AIRPORT CONSULTANTS.
CARRIED.
MR. ERIC HOLLEY, REPRESENTING A GROUP OF DEVELOPERS, PRESENTED A PLAN FOR DEVELOP-
MENT OF 190 ACRES WHICH WOULD SURROUND THE WEST END OF THE AIRPORT AND EXPRESSED
INTEREST IN OBTAINING A LONG TERM LEASE. IN VIEW OF THE FACT THAT AN AIRPORT
CONSULTANT HAS JUST BEEN APPOINTED, MR. HOLLEY WAS REQUESTED TO BRING BACK HIS
PLAN WHEN THE CONSULTANT ACTUALLY STARTS PLANNING FOR THE AIRPORT.
