CHAIRMAN MATTHEWS LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: CHAIRMAN, GALE MATTHEWS VICE-CHAIRMAN, LOUIS PRIORE MARY HEINICKE JAMES HUSK, ALTERNATE EXCUSED: JOSEPH STEPHENSON WALTER SHIELDS ALSO PRESENT: BRUCE COOPER, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OLD BUSINESS: MOTION BY MRS. HEINICKE, SECONDED BY MR. HUSK TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD JULY 11, 1989, AT 3:00 P.M. AS WRITTEN. ROLL CALL: AYE: MR. MATTHEWS MR. PRIORE MRS. HEINICKE MR. HUSK, ALTERNATE NAY: NONE CARRIED. PUBLIC HEARING - MGB HOMES HAS REQUESTED A VARIANCE TO ALLOW WASTEWATER FACILITIES IN THE REAR YARD. NOTE: A REPRESENTATIVE FROM MGB HOMES HAD NOT SHOWN, AS YET, SO A MOTION WAS MADE BY MR. PRIORE, AND SECONDED BY MRS. HEINICKE TO HOLD OFF A FEW MINUTES. ROLL CALL: AYE: MR. MATTHEWS MR. PRIORE MRS. HEINICKE MR. HUSK, ALTERNATE NAY: NONE CARRIED. PAGE 2. JOHN LAMAN, GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR MGB HOMES, INC., RESPECTIVELY HAS REQUESTED A VARIANCE FOR SEPTIC TANK TO BE PLACED IN THE REAR OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IN AS MUCH AS THE LOT ADJACENT OR TO THE RIGHT OF LOT 29, BLOCK 124, SEBASTIAN HIGHLANDS UNIT 4, HAS A WELL WHICH ENCROACHES THE 75 FOOT RADIUS IF THE SEPTIC TANK ON THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IS PUT IN THE FRONT OF THE HOME. MR. LAMAN WENT ON TO ADD THAT HE HAD APPROACHED THE OWNERS OF LOT 30, OFFERING TO HAVE THEIR WELL MOVED, WITH ALL EXPENSES TO BE iNCURRED BY MGB HOMES, BUT THEY WERE SKEPTICAL ABOUT HAVING THEIR WELL MOVED, STATING THAT THEY HAD VERY GOOD QUALITY OF WATER, AND FELT THAT THEY MIGHT NOT RECEIVE THE SAME QUALITY FROM A NEW WELL. MR. COOPER COMMENTED THAT ONLY LOT 2 WOULD BE AFFECTED IF THIS VARIANCE WERE GRANTED, THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO PLACE THEIR SEPTIC IN THE BACK, THEREFORE, REQUIRING A VARIANCE. MOTION BY MRS. HEINICKE, SECONDED BY MR. PRiORE, TO GRANT LOT 29, BLOCK 124, SEBASTIAN HIGHLANDS UNIT ~4, A VARIANCE Vi'PROViDING THE WELL BE LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER AS SHOWN ON THE SITE PLAN.
