EVENTS COMMITTEE
MINUTES
AUGUST 20, 2025

1. Order
The events meeting was called to order at 1:40pm
2. 2025 Events
A. Meeting with Jackie Robinson Complex.
The committee met with Luis Reichard, the event planner at the Jackie Robinson
Complex. We explained our sequence of events to him for the awards banquet. He said
we could come to the complex an hour or so early to do our last-minute set-up.
Bub was concerned if he was going to be able to deliver the poinsettias because of other
event obligations he has the same day as the banquet, Luis said he could deliver them
the day before if necessary and he would store them for us.
We will need to let Luis know how many tables will be needed for the event and he said
the DJ could set up 2 hours before the event.
We discussed the bar set up with Luis. They will have two bars set up; they will be cash
bars. They are able to accept cash or credit. We explained to Luis that at banquets in
the past the directors purchase a keg of beer for the employees and asked if that would
be a possibility this year at the complex. He will inquire and let us know.
Luis is going to have the Yolanda who is in charge of caterer reach out to go over the
menu. We expressed an interest in having two serving lines for dinner. And want to ask
if dessert is included.
We talked about the complex renting rooms for the night for anyone who was
interested in spending the night. Luis said they have rooms available, he asked for a
head count to see if there are enough staying to open up a block of rooms for that night.

4. Adjourn - Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30pm
