CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 4, 1998
Chairman Generazio called the meeting to order at 3:02 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

ANNOUNCEMENTS.:
Chrnn. Generazio announced that Mr, Cavallo will be voting in place of Mr, Oliver. He also
welcomed new member Mr. Cavallo to the Code Enforcement Board.

I make a motion that we accept the meeting minutes.
A voice vote was taken. 5 - 0 motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Case g07-13403 - 100 S. Wimbrow Drive - Dennis Carmody - Land Development
Code, Section 20A-6.1.C.14
Mr. Massarelli noted that on the advice of the City Attorney, and because he was found m violation
earlier, notice and a summons must be given again to Mr. Carmody to bring him back before this
Board. He noted that he had not been able to get the summons ready before today's meeting, but
will have it done for the next regular meeting.

I make the motion that we postpone Case #97-13403 to the March 25th meeting.
A voice vote was taken. 5 - 0 motion carried.
Case #97-13369 - 679 Vocelle Avenue ~ Charles J. Bailey - Board of Adjustments
Hearing 9/2/97
Mr. Massarelli noted the informational items provided to this Board on this Case.
Mr. Charles Bailey was present and was sworn in by Chairman Generazio at 3:11 pm.
It was determined that Mr. Bailey is now in compliance. There were no questions from the Board.
Staff recommended that the finding of fact is that the applicant is in compliance with the
requirements of the Board of Adjustment for the variance issued at 679 Vocelle Avenue, and
recommended that the violation be dismissed.

i move that this violation be dismissed, and the finding of fact is that the applicant is in

The vote was 5 - 0. Motion carried.
There was a brief discussion between Mr. Bailey and the Board, and it was verified that upon
inspection by staff, there was no business being mn out of Mr. Bailey's garage.
NEW BUSINESS: None
ATTORNEY'S MATTERS: Not present because of illness in the family.
CHAIRMAN MATTERS.'..
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Mr. Neglia asked for a status report on the case of Pan American Engineering and the collection of
administrative costs.
Mr. Massarelli noted that he was not aware that Mr. Bonacci had not completed this project, and

noted that there had not been a procedure in place to track these administrative costs, and the
recommendation will probably to do nothing. He also informed the Board that a procedure has
now been instituted to record the time involved in handling cases.
There was discussion on requirements for new Code Enforcement officers, and sending them to
school for certification within twenty-four (24) months. Mr. Massarelli noted that a
recommendation to City Council will probably contain a request for uniforms for these officers.
Mr. Neglia asked if Mr. Carmody will be fined as of tomorrow. Staff responded that the summons
has not been delivered to Mr. Carmody yet, but it will be accomplished for the next regular
meeting.
