SINCE ALL OETHE..~.BOA~DLMEMBERS..WERE..NO~ii~RESENT, CHAIRMAN HARRIS RECOMMENDED THAT THE LICENSING APPLICATIONS BE REVIEWED UNTIL ALL BOARD MEMBERS ARE PRESENT. AT 4:25 P.M., MEMBERS PRESENT WERE: DON LANGLOIS, HOUSTON TRIPP, JOHN CALMES, GREG PALMER, JIM HARRIS, CHAIRMAN ABSENT: LUCIEN RIZIO (EXCUSED) THE RE-ACTIVATING OF MR. ALLEN MUMM'S CONTRACTORS LICENSE WAS REVIEWED AND~PPEARED...TO RE IN ORDER. MOTION BY HOUSTON TRIPP, SECONDED BY DON LANGLOIS, TO RE-ACTIVATE MR. ALLEN MUMM'S CONTRACTORS LICENSE. i MOTION CARRIED. (1) NAY VOTE: ED PALUCH A BRIEF DISCUSSION FOLLOWED REGARDING THE APPLICATION FROM GARY BALLOUGH REQUESTING A MASONRY AND LAND GRADING SUB-CONTRACTORS LICENSE. IT WAS AGREED THAT SINCE THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF A FICTITIOUS NAME APPLIE~..?OR, THAT TWO SEPARATE LICENSES BE ISSUED IN THE MOTION BY ED PALUCH, SECONDED BY DON LANGLOIS, TO APPROVE TWO (2) IN- DIVIDUAL LICENSES IN THE NAME OF GARY E. BALLOUGH, SINCE NO FICTITIOUS. NAME WAS APPLIED FOR. MOTION CARRIED. AFTER A REVIEW OF MR. JOHN WELTON'S APPLICATION FOR AN INSULATION CON- TRACTOR, IT WAS AGREED THAT MR. WELTON NEEDED A NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT OF EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION, PROPER FEES AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE. MOTION BY ED PALUCH, SECONDED BY JOHN CALMES, THAT A LICENSE BE ISSUED TO MR. JOHN WELTON, UPON RECEIPT OF THE INSURANCE CERTIFICATE, NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT OF WORK EXPERIENCE, PROPER FEES AND THAT THE LICENSE BE ISSUED IN THE INDIVIDUALS NAME ONLY, MOTION CARRIED. MOTION BY DON LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY JOHN CALMES, THAT THE CHAIRMAN BE AUTHORIZED TO REVIEW THE CORRECTED DOCUMENTS OF JOHN WELTON, FOR APPROVAL. MOTION CARRIED. THE APPLICATION FOR DAVE FORD, PAINTING CONTRACTOR WAS REVIEWED. MOTION BY ED PALUCH, SECONDED BY JOHN CALMES, THAT THE APPLICATION FOR DAVE FORD, PAINTING CONTRACTOR BE APPROVED AND THAT A LICENSE BE ISSUED WHEN THE ORIGINAL NOTARIZED EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION IS RECEIVED. MOTION AMENDED BY JOHN CALMES, SECONDED BY DON LANGLOIS, THAT THE CHAIRMAN BE AUTHORIZED TO REVIEW THIS NOTARIZED COPY OF EMPLOYMENT£VERIFICATION PRIOR TO THE ISSUING OF THE LICENSE. MOTION CARRIED. - 1 - SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD FEBRUARY it 1983 JIM HARRIS, DISCUSSED THE LICENSE NON-RENEWAL RATE OF 50~ AND REMARKED THAT EVEN THOUGH THE ORDINANCE DOES ALLOW FOR A NON-RENEWAL PENALTY THAT IT IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH. HE RECOMMENDED THAT THIS MATTER BE DISCUSSED FURTHER AT THENEXT REGULAR WORKSHOP AND INSTRUCTED THE BOARD SECRETARY TO PREPARE A LIST OF THOSE WHO HAVE NOT RENEWED THEIR LICENSES. IN RESPONSE TO A QUESTION ASKED BY MRS. ALICE ALLARD, CITY RESIDENT, JIM HARRIS INDICATED TO HER THAT THE TEST SCORES FROM BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES BEEN RECEIVED AND THAT EACH BoARD.'.'MEMBER IS IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL INVESTIGATION. HE STATED THAT A SPECIAL MEETING WOULD BE HELD VERY SHORTLY TO DISCUSS THEIR FINDINGS. MR. JIM HARRIS STATED THAT THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED BOARD MEETING WOULD BE HELD MARCH.~i, 1983~o THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS, MEETING ADJOURNED: 5:30 P.M.
