DOMINIX VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY MR. WALSH MR. HALLGREN CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH ABSENT: MR. RIZIO - UNEXCUSED A SHORT RECESS WAS TAKEN TO REVIEW FILES. MEETING RESUMED AT 7:55 P.M. WITH ALL PRESENT. CHAIRMAN'S MATTERS CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH BROUGHT UP THE SUBJECT OF ONE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS, TOM WALSH. HE ASKED MR. WALSH TO GO TOt THE PODIUM. HE HAD A LETTER FRDM MR. CLOUTIER, BUILDING OFFIC~L DATED 2/2/87. HE ALSO HAD A NUMBER OF PROPOSALS AND WR~!Ti~S TO., SUBSTANT~JATE MR. CLOUT~R'S LETTER. (SEE ATTACHED) -1- SEBASTIAN CttNSTRUCT. I.O.N....B. OARD - FEBRUARY 3, 1987 HE ASKED THE BOARD TO KEEP IN MIND THAT MR. WALSH HAS AN ALUMINUM SPECIALTY LICENSE AND THAT SOME OF THE COMPLAINTS EXCEEDED THE LIMITS OF THAT LICENSE. BEFORE MR. WALSH GAVE HIS STATEMENT, HE RWQIJESTED A ~4ERBAT~ TAPE OF THE MEETING. FOLLOWING A LENGTHY' S~EMEN~f; HE SAID HE WOULD NOT RESIGN FRt)M THE BOARD AND REQUESTED A LEA~;E OF ABSENCE UNTIL THIS MATTER IS SETTLED. DUE T~AN~HER APPOINTMENT, HE ASKED TriBE EXCUSED F~OM THE REST OF THE MEET~ING AND LEFT.~ A SHORT ~%ECESS WAS TAKEN AT 8:45. MEEi*ING REOPENED AT 8:50 WITH ALL PRESENT WITH THE EXCEPT~3N OF M~ WALSH. A LENGTHY DISCUSSION FOLLOWED WITH THE BOARD GOING OVER 'EACH COMPLAINT ~iND IVIDUALL Y. MO~3N BY MR. HALLGREN, SECtlNDED BY MR. DOMINIX TO CLAR~LFY T~kMR, WALSH THAT HE. IS NOT LICENSED TO DO STRUCTURAL WORK, THAT ~LT ~ SPEC~LTY ALUMINUM ONLY AND THAT WE IMPOSE A SIX MONTH PROBATION PERIDD WHEREBY THE BOARD INSTRUCT THE BUILDING OFFIC~ TO MONIT~ HIS PERMITS AND WORK. M.P. LAMAN FELT THE MOTIDN WAS PREMATURE. MR. HOFFMAN FELT THERE. WAS N~ ENOUGH EVIDENCE ON THE COMPLAINTS. MOTION AND SECOND WITHDRAWN. VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY FELT SOMETHING S~ULD BE DONE ESPEC~.ALLY SINCE M~ WRT~ IS A .~OARD MEMBER. MGT~DN BY MR. DOMIN~X, SECTJNDED BY MR. LAMAN THAT M~. WALS~.WAS WORKING BEYOND HIS SCOPE KNOWINGLY AND THAT A THREE MONTH PROBATION BE IMPOSED AND Rt~AUEST HE RESIGN FROM THE BOARD. CARR~!ED . CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH SAID HE WOULD DRAFT A LETTER TO MR. WALSH ZN REGARDS TO THE NATURE OF HIS WORK AND ACING OUTSIDE THE SCOPE ~F HIS LICENSE. VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY FELT HE DID N~kT ACT PROFESSIONALY. MOTION BY VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY, SECEDED BY MR, HALLGREN TO TAKE NO~ACT]X)N AT THIS T~E AND ASK THE OWNERS iF THEY CARE TO PURSUE THEIR C~MPLAINTS BEFORE THE BOARD AND ALSO INCLUDE THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
