CHAIRMAN HARRIS CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:30 P.M.
PRESENT: MR. LANGLOIS, MR. CAREY, MR. MOHLER, MR. PALMER AND
CHAIRMAN HARRIS
ABSENT: MR. TRIPP AND MR. RIZIO
MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES
OF THE OANUARY 17, 1984, MEETING. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED T'O THE BOARD THAT THERE WERE TWO APPLICATIONS
PENDING THAT THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN HAD OK'D FROM THE LAST
MEETING AND THEY WERE ON THE AGENDA FOR THE BOARD TO OK.
COSIER, CLAYTON/DRYWALL
MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY, TO APPROVE THE ISSUANCE
OF THE LICENSE FOR MR. COSIER. CARRIED.
THE SECRETARY ADVISED THE BOARD THAT THE LICENSE WOULD BE ISSUED AS
SOON AS THE CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE HAD BEEN RECEIVED.
REGAN, JOHN $./MASONRY
MOTION BY MR. CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO APPROVE THE ISSUANCE
OF THE LICENSE FOR MR. REGAN. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE BOARD WOULD RECORD THE BLOCK AND
ASSOCIATES GRADES IN THE OOURNAL FROM THE EXAMINATION ON JANUARY 17,
1984, HELD AT THE SEBASTIAN COMMUNITY CENTER.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS REQUESTED THAT THE SECRETARY, DURING THEIR NEXT MEETING,
BRING THE GRADE LETTER IN FROM BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE SPECIAL
RESIDENTIAL EXAMINATION GIVEN IN GAINESVILLE ON APPROXIMATELY DECEMBER,
1983, THAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN AN OVER SIGHT THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN RECORDED.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE BOARD WOULD RECESS FOR A BRIEF TIME
AND REVIEW THE APPLICATIONS. RECESS BEGAN AT 7:38 P.M.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:54 P.M.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS WOULD BE TO
APPROVE OR DENY THE RE-ACTIVE STATBS OF A LICENSE.
DOWLING, CURTIS~ DRYWALL
MOTION BY MR. CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO APPROVE THE RE-ACTIVE
STATUS REQUEST OF MR. DOWLING'S LICENSE. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE SECRETARY HAD REQUESTED THAT A CREDIT
HISTORY REPORT BE OBTAINED BUI iT WAS THE OPINION OF THE BOARD THAT
THE HISTROY DONE IN PRIOR YEARS WAS SO EXCELLENT THAT IT WOULD NOT BE
REQUESTED AT THIS TIME.

MOTION BY MR. PALMER, SECONDED BY' MR. CAREY, TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION
OF MR. JACK YATES FOR A STUCCO AND PLASTERING LICENSE. CARRIED.
PAZEN, KEITH/ TILE & MARBLE
CHAIRMAN HARRIS-STATED]THAT~THE BOARD MEMBERS HAD NOTED A FEW THINGS
ON THIS APPLICATION THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. NEEDS ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION OF 4 MONTHS
2. MEET INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
3. iF IT WILL BE ISSUED IN A CORPORATION NAME THE BOARD MUST HAVE COPIES
OF THE ARTICLES OF INCBBPORATION AND THAT THE QUALIFIER MWST BE A
MEMBER OF THE CORPORATION.
MOTION BY MR. CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION
PENDING THE PROVISION SET FORTH ARE MET AND APPROV.ED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND
VICE CHAIRMAN AND TO BRING BACK TO THE NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING FOR
FORMAL APPROVAL. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS ASK IT THERE WAS ANYONE PRESENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO
QUESTION THE BOARD OR MAKE ANY COMMENTS.
MR. JACK REGAN STATED TO THE BOARD THAT HE WAS A REGISTERED POOL CONTRACTOR
~TH THE STATE AND LICENSED iN THE CITY OF VERO BEACH AND INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY AND WOULD LIKE TO BE LICENSED IN SEBASTIAN.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS ~UESTIONED MR. REGAN AS TO WHETHER OR NOT HE HAD EVER
TAKEN THE BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES EXAMINATION AS IT WAS ~ST THE TIME
THAT HE COULD BE GRANDFATHERED INT~ THE CITY.
MR. REGAN STATED THAT HIS SON, WHO WAS PRESENT, WOULD BE TAKING THE
EXAMINATION IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY IN APRIL.
CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO APPLY TO THE CiTY OF
SEBASTIAN'S CONSTRUCTION BOARD FOR LICENSING AFTER THE TEST HAD BEEN
TAKEN AND HE HAD OBTAINED A GRADE OF 75% OR BETTER.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.
CARRIED.
