AIIocco welcomed new member Jim Morris to the Construction Board; PLD BUSINESS: Mr. Neuberger(a) asked if substantiating paperwork was received for a previous applicant, Mr. Joseph Kasunic/Aluminum, and Ms. Nappi responded that she received no further information and retired his application. Acting Chmn. AIIocco inquired about the status of Mr. Christopher Svelling/Commercial Swimming Pool, and Kathy responded that Mr. Svelling took the test. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13, 2001 NEW BUSINESS: EXPERIOR EXAM: 1. HAMMERLE, ERICH J. I ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR Mr. Erich J. Hammerle was present and Was sworn in by the Acting Chairman at 7:05 pm. Several Board members inquired about verifications of Mr. Hammerle's profession, and in order for him to present written verifications, his application was deferred to later in the meeting. 2. BUBEN, EDWARD A. / ALUMINUM WITH CONCRETE Edward A. Buben, 2045 54th Ave,, Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:12 pm. After much discussion, Mr. Buben chose to apply for the Aluminum with Concrete test. MOTION by Taylor/Fox I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Edward Anthony Buben to take the Experior Exam for Specialty Contractor- Aluminum with Concrete. Roll call: Scott Taylor - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes Chuck Neuberger(a) - yes Meredith Fox - yes Andrew AIIocco - yes Jim Morris - yes The vote was 6 - 0. Motion carried. 3. HETT, MATTHEW I CARPENTRY Matthew Hett, 420 Tewksbury Lane, N.E., Palm Bay, FL, was present and was sworn in at 7:17 pm. Board members asked many questions for clarification of experience. MOTION by Taylor/Neuberger(a) I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Matthew Joseph Hett to take the Specialty Contractor- Carpentry Experior Exam. Roll call: Meredith Fox - yes Scott Taylor - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes Andrew AIIocco - yes Jim Morris - yes Chuck Neuberger(a) - yes The vote was 6 - 0, Motion carried. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13, 2001 4. BLAND, LARRY C, I IRRIGATION Larry Bland, 1506 Addie Street, Sebastian, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:23 pm. Mr. Bland was questioned extensively about his experience and responded satisfactorily. MOTION by Fox/Taylor I'll make a motion that we OK Larry C. Bland in the Specialty trade of irrigation for his Experior Exam. Roll call: Meredith Fox - yes Chuck Neuberger(a) - yes Scott Taylor - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes Andrew AiIocco - yes Jim Morris - yes The vote was 6 - 0. Motion carried. 5. RUSSELL, RICHARD S. I IRRIGATION Richard Russell, 2453 2"a St., S.W., Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:27 pm. MOTION by Taylor/Garland, Jr. I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Richard Shayne Russell to take the Experior Exam for Irrigation. I IRRIGATION Thomas Spencer IV, 3486 18t St., S.W., Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:30 pm. MOTION by Neuberger(a)lFox I'd like to make a motion to approve Mr. Spencer for a Sprinkler/irrigation test. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13, 2001 7. REGOORD, FABIAN S. I PAINTING Fabian S. Regoord, 500 Grey Twig, Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:32 pm. Supervisory experience was questioned by several Board members and discussion took place. MOTION by Neuberger(a)lAIIocco I'll make a motion to approve Fabian Sebastian Regoord for the Painting license, Specialty Contractor, Experior Exam for Painting. Roll cell: Chuck Neuberger(a) - yes Andrew AIIocco - yes Scott Taylor - no Meredith Fox - no Frank Garland, Jr. - no Jim Morris - no The vote was 2 - 4. Motion failed. Scott Taylor explained' that if the letter that describes Fabian Regoord's experience in a family run business was worded more properly to indicate that he had the required one year supervisory experience, the Board would probably have no problem approving him to take the test. The Board members discussed this suggestion. Acting Chmn. AIIocco withdrew his second, and Mr. Neuberger withdrew his motion, and all members withdrew their votes. MOTION by Taylor/Fox I'd like to make a motion that Fabian Sebastian Regoord be approved by the Board to take the Experior Exam for Painting, Specialty Contractor, contingent upon the proper confirmation of experience at supervisory, the minimum requirement of one year. BOHANNON, JR., MARK I STUCCO/PLASTERING Mark Bohannon, 1514 41st Ave., Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:59 pm. MOTION by Taylor/Garland I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Mark Bohannon, Jr. to take the Experior Exam in Stucco / Plastering. I TILE & MARBLE Dennis Thompson, 34820 Thrill Hill Road, Eustis, FL, was present and was sworn in at 8:02 pm. Board members discussed issues with Mr. Thompson. MOTION by Taylor/Fox I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Dennis Alan Thompson to take the Experior Exam for Specialty Contractor Ceramic Tile and Marble. Motion carried, The Board returned to the first applicant, Erich J. Hammerle I Electrical Contractor. George Bonacci furnished copies of the applicant's Master Electrician licenses from CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13, 2001 the state of Pennsylvania. Board members were satisfied with his qualifications. MOTION by Neuberger(a)/'raylor I'd like to make a motion we accept Erich J. Hammerle to take the electrical Master Electrician Exam.
