ALSO, WHEN A PERMIT IS GOING TO BE ISSUED, A.'PERMIT CARD WILL BE MADE UP AND ON THAT CARD IT WILL SHOW ALL,THE SUBS FROM THAT APPLICATION, SO WHEN THE INSPECTOR COESOUT,' HE WILL ALREADY KNOW WHO IS SUPPOSE TO BE OUT THERE. WE ALSO CHECKED INTO SURROUNDING AREAS. THE BOARD CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT IS THE 97~ GOOD CONTRACTORS WHO WOULD BE PENALIZED BY IT, THAT IT WOULD NOT EFFECT THE "GYPSIES" AT ALL. MOTION BY MR. HALLGRF~ SECONDED BY MR. DERNBACH THAT THE CONSTRUCTION BOARD HAS THOROUGHLY INVEBTIGATED THE BONDING OF BOTH SUB ODNTRAETORS AND GENERAL CONTRACTORS AND WE F~D THAT IT IS OF NO VALUE IN CONTROLLING THE QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP OR INSURING THE.SAFETY'AND THE BACKGROUND OF THE PURCHASERS OF THESE HOMES. IT WOULD HURFTHE 97~ GOOD QUALITY CONTRACTORS AND WOULD NOT REALLY BENEFIT THE PROBLEMS WE ARE HAVEING. THEREFORE, WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE CITY COUNCIL TO DO ANYTHING IN THE AREA OF REQUIRING BONDING.
