CALL TO ORDER" ROLL CALL ACCEPT RESIGNATION - HUSTON TRIPP, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR DISCUSSION: POSSIBLE BONDING REQUIREMENTS OF CERTAIN PROFESSIONS 15 MINUTES TO PUBLIC ADJOURN NOTE:: IF ANY PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE ON THE ABOVE MATTERS, HE/SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSES, HE/SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY IN EVIDENCE ON WHICH THE APPEAL IS BASED. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD - SPECIAL WORKSHOP MEETING - MARCH 26, 1986 - 7:30 P.M. MEETING WAS CALLED..TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH AT 7:30 P.M. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: MR. HOFFMAN MR. LAMAN MR. HALLGREN ATTORNEY PALMER CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH .... ABSENT: VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY, EXCUSED MR. RIZIO, UNEXCUSED MR. DOMINIX, UNEXCUSED MOTION BYMR~.HOFFMAN, SECONDED BY MR. HALLGREN TO ACCEPT HUSTON TRIPP'S RESIGNATION WITH REGRET. CARRIED. MR. DOMINIX, ALTERNATE, REQUESTED TO COMPLETE TME UNEXPIRED TERM OF MR. TRIPP, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR ON THE BOARD. MOTION BY MR. HALLGREN, SECONDED BY MR. LAMAN TO RECOMMEND TO CITY COUNCIL THAT MR. DOMINIX BE APPOINTED TO COMPLETE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF MR. TRIPP, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. CARRIED. POSSIBLE BONDING REQUIREMENTS OF CERTIAN PROFESSIONS: CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH EXPLAINED THE SUBJECT OF BONDING CERTAIN PROFESSIONS,- SURVEYORS, ENGINEERS, CONTRACTORS, ETC. CAME ABOUT DUE TO THE FACT THAT IN THE PAST, VARIANCES HAD TO ~ GRANTED DUE TO ERRONEOUS SURVEYS. PRESENT AT THE MEETING WAS MR. CHUCK HUMPHREY, ANCHOR INSURANCE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THE BOARD MAY HAVE IN REGARDS TO BONDING. A LENGTHY DISCUSSION FOLLOWED WITH JIM HARRIS, CERTIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTOR NOTING THAT THE MAJORITY OF CONTRACTORS WOULD NEVER PASS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A PERFORMANCE BOND. MR. HUMPHREY AGREED SAYING IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR AT LEAST 80% TO QUALIFY. CHAiRMAN BALLOUGH ASKED .THAT NO..MOTIONS BE MADE AND THAT HE WANTED TIME TO WRITE UP SOMETHING FOR THE BOARD TO CONSIDER TO.ACT ON AT THE REGULAR MEETING. BEING NO FURTHER DISCUSSION, MEETING ADJOURNED AT 8:40 P.M.
