Meredith Fox Chuck Neuberger Michael Wolfe(a) James Schmitz(a) ALSO PRESENT: Kathy Nappi, Secretary/Contractor Licensing A~ PROVAL OF MINUTES~ Reg. Mtg., 3/12/02; and Wkshp. Mtg. 3/26/02 MOTION by Nicolini/Morris I'd make a motion to approve the regular meeting and the workshop. A voice vote was taken. 7 - 0, motion carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Secretary noted that' James Schmitz(a) will be voting in place of AndreW Allocco, who is excused from the meeting. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: EXPERIOR EXAM: 1. WARD, M. LARRY I ROOFING UNLTD. M. Larry Ward, 153 Harris Drive, Sebastian, FL, was present and was sworn in by the Chairman. MOTION by Nicolini/Neuberger I'd make a motion that we approve Mr. Ward to take the Experior Test for Roofing. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 9, 2002 4, SKINNER, CEDAR I PAINTING CONT, Cedar Skinner, 9365 Sea Grape Drive, Wabasso, FL, was present and was sworn in by the Chairman. Board members had many questions about Mr. Skinner's verification of experience form. MOTION by Morris/Taylor I'm going to make a motion that we approve Cedar Allen Robert Skinner to take Roll call: the Experior Exam with verification of experience. the contingency of the proper completion of the Louis Nicolini - yes Chmn. Meredith Fox - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes Chuck Neuberger - yes Scott Taylor - yes Jim MOrris - yes James Schmitz(a) - yes None The vote was 7 - 0. Motion carried, VIOLATION HEARINGS: BUILDING OFFICIAL MATTERS: BOARD MATTERS: None ,A, TT,.,ORNEY MATTERS: None RE,CORD SCORES ,iN SCOR,EBOO, K; None Chuck Neuberger and Frank Garland, Jr. recorded the scores in the scorebook. 1,5 MINUTES TO PUBLIC: None Kathy Nappi noted the revised application form that she handed out to all members, to be looked over, and hopefully finalized next month. Board members discussed sending a letter to Experior, under the City Manager's signature, asking how people can be expected to take' the test (with the Board's approval), yet not.have access to any recognized books available. No decision was made On this issue. Chmn. Fox adjourned the meeting at 7:42 PM. Alexander Homery, 438 Martin Rd., SE, Palm Bay, FL, was present and was sworn in by the Chairman. MOTION by Morris/Taylor I make a motion, Madam Chairman, that we approve Alex Louis Homery to take the Aluminum specialty contractor license. Roll call: Scott Taylor - yes Jim Morris - yes Chmn. Meredith Fox - yes Louis Nicolini - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes Chuck Neuberger , yes James Schmitz(a) - yes The vote was 7 - 0. Motion carried. 3. KNUDSON, JOHN / TILE & MARBLE John Knudson, 1181 Fairfield Lane, Sebastian, FL was present and was sworn in by the Chairman. MOTION by Taylor/Neuberger I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve John Knudson to take the Experior Exam for Tile / Marble. Roll call: Chmn. Meredith Fox - yes Chuck Neuberger - yes Scott Taylor - yes Louis Nicolini - yes Jim Morris - yes Frank Garland, Jr. - yes James Schmitz(a) - yes The vote was 7 - 0, Motion carried. Mr. Knudson explained to the Board that the book he needs to obtain from the Tile and Marble In{titute to take the test is unavailable until at least June, 2002. He requested the ability to temporarily perform tile work until the book is available. There was much discussion on this situation and Mr. Knudson was advised to attempt to take the test without a book since it' can be .taken again. The fact that no book is available at present is a problem.
