BUILDING OFFICIAL
STHCCO/TERMITE CONTROL
MR, COOPER TOLD THE BOARD THAT RECENTLT THE ClTT HAS RECEIVED
REPORTS OF SEVERAL SINGLE FAMILT HOMES THAT HAVE RECEIVED
EXTENSIVE TERMITE DAMAGE.
THE BIGGEST THING BEING FOUND IS THAT STUCCO IS BEING ALLOWED
TO PUT THE LATHE DOW TO THE FOUNDATION THEN STUCCO AND
COVERING ~P WITH FILL. IT HAS BEEN INDICATED THAT THIS IS THE
ROUTE THE TERMITES MIGHT BE TAKING. THE STUCCO SHOUI,D BE
TERMINATED ABOVE GRADE LEVEL.
ALSO, A TERMITE SHIELD THAT GOES AROUND THE FOUNDATION BELOW
THE SEAL PLATE THAT WILL STICK OUT, TIED TO THE SHEATHING AND
THEN STUCCO COULD BE HELPFUL. THIs ~ULD PREVENT THE
TERMITES FROM GOING UP BETWEEN THE SHEATHING.
MR. COOPER SAID HE I4OULD MAKE A REQUEST TO THE CITTMANAGER
THAT WE CHECK WITH THE LEGAL STAFF AND BASED ON THE
CODE WE REQUIRE TERMITE SHIELDS UNLESS WE FIND iNFORMATION
THAT JHSTIFIES NO REASON TO DO IT.

FOR RECORD, MR. MOSBY LEFT THE MEETING AT 8:30 P.M.
IN REGARDS TO VERIFICATION OF EXPERIENCE:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. THIS I4OHLD BE IN ADDITION TO THE
VERIFICATION OF EXPERIENCE FORM,
