Cecrle, Scott Taylor(a), and Louis Nicolini Also present: George Bonacci, Building Department Director Ann Breck, Recording Secretary A, ,P. PR.OYAL OF MINUTES: (3/9/99) MOTION by Paquette(a)/AIIocco I'd like to make a motion that we approve the minutes of the March 9~' meeting of the Sebastian Construction Board. A voice vote was taken. 4 - 0 motion carded. NEWBUSiNESS: BLOCK EXAM: 1. BOYLE, STEVEN L.IBurglar& Fire Alarm Steven Boyle, 3475 1'* Road, Veto Beech, FL, 32968, was present and was sworn in at 7:07 pm. Mr. AIIocco commented that Mr. Boyle's application is very. adequate and vary.complete and complemented Mr..Boyle. on this presentation. MOTION by AIIocco/Holdridge I'll make a motion that we approve Mr. Boyle to sit for the Block exarrtt~r Fire The Pledge of Allegiance was said. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: and Burglar (Alarm). Motion carried. . yes Andrew AIIocco -yes . yes Michael Holdridge - yes CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES .OF REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 13, 1999 2. RUPPERT, DAVID P./Re$identlal ContractOr Mr. David Ruppert, 3845 8th Lane, Veto Beach, FL, 32960~ was present.and was sworn in at 7:10 pm. Mr. Ruppert noted that he worked for 3 % years for CAL Builders, Incorporated, in Veto Beach. He gave further information on his background in construction and noted that he wishes to operate on his own. MOTION .by Holdridge/Paquette I'd like to make a motion that David Paul Ruppert be eligible to take the Residential Block exam. Roll call: Pierre Paquette(a) - yes Andrew AIIocco - yes Michael Holdridge - yes Michael Herbig - yes The vote was 4 - 0. Motion carried. BUII.~ING OFFICIAL MATTERS: Mr. Bonacci noted that Mr. Jimenez, who appeared'before'this Board in March, came into the Building Department the day after the March meeting and paid his fine, He' then referred to a resurn~ that he passed out to Board members for Rick Reed. He noted that Mr. Reed wants to take the test for Journeyman Electrical, but does.not have background experience that f'~s the true scope to take the test. He felt that this Cons~Jction Board could discuss this issue and give an opinion to recommendthat Mr. Read be able to take this test. Mr. Reed, 334 Bayherbor Terrace, Sebastian, FL was present and answered questions from the Board. There was consensus by the Board that Mr. Reed apply to take the Block Exam for Journeyman Electrical. BOARD MATTERS: Mr. AIIocco commented that he will be discussing the issue of the "owner-builder" as soon as he receives all of the data. RECORD SCORES. IN SCOREBOOK: Mr. AIIocco and Mr. Holdddge recorded the scores in the scorebook. Acting Chairman Herbig adjourned the meeting at 7:21.
