SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD - MAY 8~ 1984 MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:40 P.M., BY CHAIRMAN HARRIS. PRESENT: MR. LANGLOIS, MR. RIZIO, MR. CAREY'AND CHAIRMAN HARRIS. ABSENT: MR MOHLER (EXCUSED) MR. PALMER CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT MR. STENNER WAS IN THE AUDIENCE AND THAT HIS APPLICATION HAD BEEN TABLE FOR THE MAY BLOCK EXAMINATION AND THAT WHILE IT'~WAS CHAIRMAN HARRIS' OPINION THAT MR. STENNER SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE EXAMINATION AND THAT THE BOARD SHOULD BE POLLED AND SEE IF THE TEST COULD BE ORDERED, BY PHONE, CONFIRMED IN WRITING AND ALLOW MR. STENNER TO TAKE THE EXAM ON S~TURDAY, MAY 12, 1984. CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT IT WAS UNFORTUNATE THAT THE BOARD DID NOT HAVE A QUORUM AND THAT THE MEETING WOULD HAVE TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, MAY 15, 1984, AT 7:30 P.M. MEETING CLOSED AT ?:41 P.M. MR. PALMER ARRIVED AT 7:45 P.M. AND CHAIRMAN HARRIS ASKE'D THE BOARD TO STAY AND HOLD THERE MEETING. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:.45 P.M., BY CHAIRMAN HARRIS. PRESENT: HARRIS. MR. LANGLOIS, MR. RIZIO, MR. CAREY, MR. PALMER AND CHAIRMAN ABSENT: MR. MOHLER (EXCUSED) MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY, TO APPROVE THE BOARD MINUTES OF APRIL 10, 1984, MEETING. CARRIED. SCHLEMMER, HARVEY~ INSULATION MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. RIZIO, TO FORMALLY ACCEPT THE APPROVAL OF THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN AND ISSUE THE LICENSE. CARRIED. MC QUILLEN, DANIEL/ CRANE SERVICE MOTION BY MR. CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO FORMALLY ACCEPT THE APPROVAL OF THE VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT OF THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN AND ISSUANCE OF THE LICENSE. CARRIED. CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE A LETTER WRITTEN TO THE COUNCIL REQUESTING THAT THEY APPOINT A .CONCERNED CITIZEN TO THE BOARD TO FILL THE VACANCY OF THE ELECTRICIAN POSITION SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN NO APPLICATIONS FILLED. CHAIRMAN HARRIS REMINDED THE BOARD THAT THERE WILL BE A BLOCK AND.ASSOCiATES EXAMI'NATION AT THE SEBASTIAN COMMUNITY CENTER ON SATURDAY, MAY 12, 1984, AT 8:00 A.M. CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE BOARD WOULD TAKE A SHORT RECESS TO REVIEW THE NEW APPLICATIONS AND WOULD REOPEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD - MAY 8, 1984 MEETING RECESSED AT 7:55 P.M. AND REOPENED AT 8:05 P.M. NORMAN,~RICHARD D./CARPENTRY SUB-CONTRACTOR MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. RIZIO, TO APPROVE THE LICENSE FOR MR. NORMAN AS A CARPENTRY SUB-CONTRACTOR. CARRIED. WAESH',' THOMAS R./ALUMiNUM SUB-CONTRACTOR CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE APPLICATION WAS LACKING THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PREVIOUS EMPLOYER ON THE VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT AND RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD APPROVE THE ISSUANCE PENDING THE INFORMATION BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN. MOTION BY MR. PALMER,.SECONDED BY MR. CAREY, TO ACCEPT THE APPLICATION OF MR. WALSH FOR AN ALUMINUM,SUB-CONTRACTORS LICENSE PENDING THE VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT BE COMPLETED AND APPROVE BY THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN PROIR TO ISSUANCE AND THE APPLICATION BE BROUGHT BACK BEFORE THE BOARD FOR FORMAL ACCEPTANCE. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. RIZIO, TO BRING TO THE FLOOR FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION THE APPLICATION OF MR. SCOTT CARRIVEAU, DRYWALL SUB-CONTRACTOR. CARRIED. CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE APPLIICATION WAS LACKING THE VERIFICATION OF'~EMPLOYMENT AND THAT MR. CARRIVEAU HAD REQUESTED THAT THE BOARD APPROVE THE APPLICATION PENDING THIS INFORMATION THAT I~ iS EXPECTED ANY DAY FROM UR NORTH AND THAT THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN APPROVE IT AND BRING 8ACK BEFORE THE BOARD. MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. PALMER, THAT THE BOARD APPROVE THE APPLICATION OF MR. CARRIVEAU':'SUBOECT TO:;THE VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT]BY THE CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN AND THAT THE APPLICATION BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOARD FOR FORMAL ACCEPTANCE. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR.
