CHEATHAM TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD 4/11/89 AS READ. CARRIED. OLD BUSINESS~ APPLICATION TABLED FROM MEETING HELD 4/11/89 PALLO, KENNETH M-/IRRIGATION . BLOCK EXAM MOTION BY MR. NEUBERGER, SECONDED BY MR. CHEATHAM TO TABLE THE APPLICATION PERMANENTLY UNTIL MR. PALLO PERSONALLY APPEARS BEFORE THE BOARD. CARRIED. CHAIRMAN CAREY REQUESTED THAT THE BOARD. SECRETARY SEND MR. BONACCI TOLD THE BOARD THAT AFTER TALKING TO NR. NEUBERGKR, THEY #ERE BOTH IN AGREEMENT TO GO BACK TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. MR. NEUBKRGER NOTED THAT THE ADMINISTRATIVE PORTION OF THE CODE SHOULD STAY THE SAME. PA(tE 2 BIIILDIN(~ OFFICIAL MATTERS~ con% HR. COOPER RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL TO DELETE IN ITS ENTIRETY ALL THE LOCAL AMENDMENTS TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE EXCEPT FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE PART AND GO WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. MOTION BY MR. CHEATHA#, SECONDED BY NRi NEUBERGgR TO RECONNiND TO CITY COUNCIL THAT THE CiTY OF SEBASTIAN ADOPT THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE AND BE GOVERNED BY THAT CODE AND THAT ANY AMENDMENTS OF THAT CODE WHICH HAVE BEEN PASSED BY CITY COUNCIL BE ELIMINATED. CARRIED. MR. COOPER 8AiD THIS MOULD BE PLACED ON THE WORKSHOP MEETING TO BE HELD 6/1/89. MR. NEUBERGER SAID THAT IF THERE MERE NO OBJECTIONS FROM ANYONE, HE WOULD BE GLAD TO REPRESENT THE BOARD AT THAT MEETING. NE# BUSINESS~ LETTER OF RECIPROCITY SIMPSON, STEVE S./UNDERGROUND UTILITIES MOTION BY VICE CHAIRMAN LAMAN, SECONDED BY MR. NEUBERGER TO ACCEPT APPLICATION TO BE LICENSED IN THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN THROUGH LETTER OF RECIPROCITY. CARRIED. BLOCK EXAM - GAINESVILLE BILLINGELEY, DAVE A./PAINTING MOTION BY ViCE CHAIRMAN LANAN, SECONDED BY MR. CHEATHAM TO ACCEPT APPLICATION TO TAKE THE PAINTING EXAM IN GAINESVILLE. CARRIED. CHANGE FROM INDIVIDUAL TO CORPORATION PALU#BO, THEODORE/PLUMBING CONTRACTOR MOTION BY VICE CHAIRMAN LAMAN, SECONDED BY MR. CAPP TO ACCEPT APPLICATION TO CNAN~E THE LICENSE FROM INDXVXDOAL TO CORPORATION. CARRIED. PAGE SCORES WERE REGISTERED IN THE SCORE BOOK BY VICE CHAIRMAN LAMAN AND MR. DERNBACH. MR. NEUBERGER AND MR. CHEATHAM VOLUNTEERED TO BE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER ON 5/13/89 TO REGISTER APPLICANTS FOR THE BLOCK EXAN. NR. NEUBERGER ASKED IF THE CITY ATTORNEY HAD GOTTEN ANY INPORMATION AS TO WHAT INSURANCE WAS REQUIRED FOR CONTRACTORS. THE BOARD SECRETARY SAiD THAT SHE WOULD BE GETTING THE INFORMATION AND WOULD HAVE IT FOR THE MEETING TO BE HELD IN JUNE. MR. CHEATHAM ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION CONCERNING EMPLOYERS HAVING TO COMPLY WITH THE #ALIEN ACT'. MR. COOPER SAID HE WOULD RESEARCH THE STATUTES. THERE BEING NO PURTHER DISCUSSION, MEETING ADJOURNED AT 8500 P.M.
