IT WAS NOTED THAT THIS APPLICATION WAS POSTPONED UNTIL THE JUNE MEETING SO THAT MR. GEIZ COULD BETTER VERIFY HIS EXPERIENCE/SUPERVISORY. SABONJOHN ASKED THE BOARD TO GRANDFATHER HIM IN. HE TOLD THE BOARD THE REASON HE DIDN'T GET GRANDFATHERED IN ~WAS BECAUSE HE HAD A STROKE IN 1985 AND ? - 8 STROKES A~YEAR SINCE THEN. HE HELD A CARPENTRY SUB-CONTRACTOR LICENSE, A DRAFTING AND MARINE CONTRACTOR .LICENSE, A HOME INSPECT.ION AND MAINTENANCE LICENSE IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, 1980' - 1981' AND BEEN IN THE TRADE ALL OF HIS LIFE. HE TOLD THE BOARD HE WAS ONLY INTERESTED IN TRIM CARPENTRY. THE BOARD SECRETARY TOLD THE BOARD THAT OUR CODE REQUIRED A PERSON TO HAVE HELD A INDIAN COUNTY COMP CARD PRIOR TO JULY,~. 1991 IN ORDER TO GRANDFATHER IN. MOTION BY MR. NEUBERGER, SECONDED BY MR. J. SMITH THAT. WE"' HAVE LISTENED TO THE CASE AND DUE TO THE EVIDENCE PReSENtED, HE DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED SUCH AS PROOF'oF. COMP CARD, COUNTY OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE, CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, STATE REGISTRATION, ET~. CARRIED~: MR. SABON$OHN ASKED THAT THE FEES~THAT HE PAID BE REFUNDED. HE WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE. COOPER SAID THERE WAS NO CODE REQUIRING THIS BUILDING TO BE LEVEL. CHAIRMAN LAMAN SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THE BOARD COULD DO. DISCUSSION: INSTALLATION OF METAL STUDS THERE WAS A BRIEF DISCUSSION AS TO WHETHER OR NOT A~.~,CARPENTER~ COULD DO METAL STUDS. THE BOARD SECRETARY WAS REQUESTED~"'TO CHECK WITH BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS ON THE CARPENTRY TEST CONCERNING METAL STUDS. MR. T. SMITH ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY RESPONSE FROM DENNIS DERNBACH FROM THE LETTER THAT WAS SENT TO HIM. IT WAS NOTED THERE WAS NO RESPONSE AND THAT THE LET.TER WAS NOT RETURNED TO THE CITY.
