PRESENT: MR. LANGLOIS, MR. RIZIO, MR. TRIPP, MR. CALMES, AND CHAIRMAN HARRIS ABSENT: MR. PALMER(EXCUSED) AND ONE MEMBER SHORT CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT HE WOULD STOP THE MEETING SO THAT THE BOARD COULD REVIEW THE APPLICATIONS AND WOULD RE-OPEN TO TAKE ACTION, THE TIME IS 7:04P.M. i CHAIRMAN HARRIS RE-OPENED THE MEETING AT 7:31 P.M. MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 3, 1983, MEETING. CARRIED. SPECIALITY LICENSES BENDIX, JOSEPH - STUCCO MOTION.BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD MEETING - JUNE 28, 1983 TRAVIS, KENNETH - ELECTRICAL MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. RIZIO, TO TABLE THE APPLICATION OF MR. KENNETH TRAVIS FOR A ELECTRICAL RECIPROCITY LICENSE UNTIL THE BOARD HAS RECEIVED INFORMATION REGARDING THE TESTING FROM BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES. CARRIED. EXAMINATION IN GAINESVILLE MR. MICHAEL HYNES - PLUMBING MOTION BY MR. CALMES,.SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION OF MR. HYNES FOR THE PLUMBING EXAMINATION TO BE ADMINISTERED IN GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA, BY BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES. CARRIED. COLONTRELLE, JOHN - HARV MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO ACCEPT THE APPLICATION OF MR. JOHN COLONTRELLE FOR THE HARV EXAMINATION TO BE ADMINISTERED AT BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES IN GAINESVILLE, FLORDIA. CARRIED. APPLICATION FOR RE-EXAMINATION PRINCE, DAN - MASONRY MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION OF MR. DAN PRINCE, TO TAKE THE MASONRY EXAIMATION IN SEPTEMBER , 1983, PROVIDING THE TEST IS ADMINISTERED. CARRIED. APPLICANTS FOR BOARD MEMBER MR. HUSTON TRIPP QUESTIONED MR. GERALD CARY AND MR. JACK TRUNDLE AS TO WHY THEY WOULD LIKE TO SERVE ON THE CONSTRUCTION BOARD. MR. CAREF AND MR. TRUNDLE BO~H STATED THAT THEY HAD MADE THEIR HOME IN SEBASTIAN AND THAT THEY LOVED IT HERE AND WANTED TO SERVE THE CITY AND SINCE THEY WERE BOTH IN CONSTRUCTION THE MAJOR PART OF THEIR LIVES THEY FELT THAT THEY COULD DO THE BEST ON THE SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD. DURING THE BOARD MEETING MR. HARRIS AND MR. TRIPP VERIFIED THE GRADE SCORES FOR THE BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES EXAMINATION ADMINISTERED AT THE SEBASTIAN COMMUNITY CENTER . THE GRADES WERE VERIFIED INTO~'THE BOOK AND FROM THE BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES LETTER ON TO THE VERIFICATION OF GRADE SHEETS ATTACHED TO EACH APPLICANTS FORMS. THE APPLICANTS NUMBERS WERE FROM 83'05-0001 TO 83-05-0007 INCLUSIVE. RE',ACTIVE STATUS OF::LICENSE ' - THE BOARD SECRETARY READ A LETTER REGARDING THE FILE OF MR. GEORGE WILLIAM SCHARDT, III, ATTACHED, AND THAT INiPROCESSING THE FILE FOR THE MEETING SERIOUS DESCRIPENCIES HAD BEEN FOUND AND IN SPEAKING WITH CITY 'ATTORNEY --2-- SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD MEETING - JUNE .2.8, 1983 DANIEL KiLBRIDE AND MAYOR RAT FLOOD, JR., THE COMPLETE FILE HAD BEEN SIGNED FOR BY INVESTIGATOR DAVID PUSCHER, SEBASTIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR AN INVESTIGATION. IT WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE SECRETARY THAT THE BOARD TABLE THIS APPLICATION FOR RE-ACTIVE STATUS UNTIL A REPORT HAD BEEN RECEIVED BY THE SEBASTIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT. MOTION BY MR. LANGLOIS, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, THAT THE BOARD TABLE THE REQUEST TO RE-ACTIVESTATUS UNTIL A REPORT IS RECEIVED BY THE SEBASTIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT IS RECEIVED ON THE FILE ON MR. GEORGE WILLIAM'SCHARDT, III. CARRIED. SOLAR CONTRACTORS AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION REGARDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING OF SOLAR CONTRACTORS MR. TRIPP STATED THAT HE WOULD CALL ST. LUCIE & BREVARD COUNTIES TO CHECK THEIR REQUIREMENTS AND REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD AT THEIR NEXT MEETING, JULY 12, 1983. AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION REGARDING THE LICENSING OF SIGN PAINTERS AND ERECTORS MR. TRIPP STATED THAT AS LONG AS HE WAS CALLING ST. LUCIE & BREVARD ON THE SOLAR CONTRACTORS LICENSES HE WOULD ALSO CHECK ON THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR SIGN PAINTING AND ERECTION AND REPORT AT THE MEETING OF JULY 12, 1983. AFTER A DISCUSSION REGARDDNG THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS OF HOME REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE BOARD WOULD NOT ESTABLISH A SEPERATE CATEGORY FOR THIS AND THAT IF ONE WOULD LIKE TO BE LICENSED AS A HOME MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR HE WOULD HAVE TO BE TESTED IN EACH CATEGORY THAT HE PLANNED ON REPAIRING. CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE FLOOR WOULD BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR 15 MINUTES. THERE BEING NO DISCUSSION FROM THE FLOOR, MR. HARRIS STATED THAT IF THE BOARD HAD NO FURTHER BUSINESS HE WOULD CALL FOR A MOTION TO ADJOURN. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. CALMES,.TO ADJOURN THE SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD MEETING.
