MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN CAREY AT 7:30 P.M.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING 7/5/88
MOTION BY MR. HALLGREN, SECONDED BY MR. DERNBACK TO ACCEPT
THE MINUTES OF 7/5/88 AS PROPOSED,
OLD BUSINESS:

MOTION BY MR. DERNBACK, SECONDED BY MR. HALLGREN TO HOLD THIS
OVER UNTIL OUR NEXT REGULAR MEETING.

LETTER OF RECIPROCITY
LOFTSGARD, CARMEN P./BUILDING CONTRACTOR
SCHILLER, ROBERT D./SWIMMING POOL CONTRACTOR
MOTION BY MR. HALLGREN, SECONDED BY MR. GREENIDGE TO ACCEPT
MR. LOFTSGARD AND MR.. SCHILLER THROUGH LETTER OF RECIPROCITY.
CARRIED.
MR. LIBRIE CAME IN LATE AND TOLD THE BOARD THAT HE HAD TALKED
TO MR. DAN BROGNANO, AMERON HOMES, INC. AND HE FELT IT WAS
HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF THE PLANTERS. IT WAS
~NOTED THAT MR. BROGNANO DID LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. HE IS
TAKING CARE OF iT NOW. THE PLANTERS WERE RIPPED OUT AND THE
STONE WiLL BE PUT BACK ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. CHAIRMAN
CHAIRMAN CAREY STATED THAT SINCE MR. COOPER AND THE CITY
ATTORNEY WERE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THE MEETING, HE ASKED THAT A
MOTION BE MADE TO POSTPONE THIS OLD BUSINESS UNTIL THE NEXT
REGULAR MEETING.
CAREY ASKED MR. LIBRIE TO ATTEND THE AUGUST MEETING TO GIVE A
REPORT TO THE BOARD AS TO HOW THINGS ARE PROGRESSING. MR.
LIBRIE SAID HE WOULD.
DISCUSSION: RESCHEDULiNG OF BOARD MEETING
THE BOARD SECRETARY TOLD THE BOARD THAT MR. KREUZKAMP, ASSIS-
TANT CITY ATTORNEY, WAS REQUESTING THAT THE BOARD CHANGE
THEIR MEETING NIGHT SINCE THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND
THE FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH SINCE THEY HAVE A COUNCIL
MEETING THAT NIGHT.
MOTION BY MR. CAPP, SECONDED BY MR. DERNBACH TO CHANGE THE
BOARD MEETINGS TO THE SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH BEGINNING
WITH THE AUGUST MEETING.
CARRIED.
IT WAS NOTED THAT THE NEXT MEETING WOULD BE AUGUST 9TH.
DISCUSSION: SUBPOENA POWER
CHAIRMAN CAREY SUGGESTED THAT THIS DISCUSSION BE HELD OVER TO
THE AUGUST MEETING WHEN ATTORNEY KREUZKAMP WOULD BE PRESENT.
MOTION BY MR. HALLGREN, SECONDED BY MR. GREENIDGE TO HOLD THE '
DISCUSSION OVER TO WHEN THE ATTORNEY WOULD BE PRESENT.
CARRIED.
DISCUSSION: LICENSING OF SOD LAYERS
CHAIRMAN CAREY TOLD THE BOARD OF A RECENT PROBLEM HE HAD WITH
HAVING SOD LAID.
AT THE PRESENT TIME SOD LAYERS ARE NOT LICENSED THROUGH THE
CONSTRUCTION BOARD BUT CHAIRMAN CAREY FELT THAT IN ORDER TO
HAVE SOME CONTROL OVER THEM THEY SHOULD BE LICENSED.
MR. DERNBACH NOTED THAT SOD LAYING WAS PART OF LANDSCAPING.
MOTION BY MR. DERNBACK, SECONDED BY MR. CAPP TO LICENSE SOD
INSTALLERS UNDER THE SAME SYSTEM AS OTHER SUB-CONTRACTORS TO
BE EFFECTIVE IN SIX MONTHS.
CHAIRMAN CAREY FELT IT WAS NOT NECESSARY TO GIVE SIX MONTHS.
MOTION WITHDRAWN BY MR. DERNBACH, SECOND WITHDRAWN BY MR.
CAPP.
MOTION BY MR. DERNBACK, SECONDED BY MR. CAPP TO LICENSE SOD
INSTALLERS UNDER THE SAME PROVISIONS AS SUB-CONTRACTORS TO BE
EFFECTIVE WITH THE NEW FISCAL YEAR.
CARRIED.
SCORES WERE REGISTERED IN THE SCORE BOOK BY MR. DERNBACK AND
MR. GREENIDGE.
