A COPY OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE FROM TOM PALMER, CITY ATTORNEY TO THE
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION WAS GIVEN TO THE BOARD.
RE: PROHIBITION OF $IMILIAR HOUSES AND DUPLEXES IN SAME NEIGHBORING
LOTS.
THERE WERE NO COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD.
THE BOARD WAS GIVEN A MEMO FROM GEORGE BONACCI, BUILDING ZNSPECTOR
WITH AN ATTACHED LETTER FROM LEONARD DEFIORE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, U.S.
CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION, CONCERNING SAFETY GLAZING.
DISCUSSION WAS TABLED UNTIL THE AUGUST MEETING. THE BOARD SECRETARY
WAS ASKED TO INVITE A REPRESENTATIVE FROM KADAN GLASS ALONG WITH ANY
APPLICABLE CODE BOOKS TO THAT MEETING.
RESIGNATION OF BOARD MEMBER - FRED HOFFMAN:
MOTION BY MR. HALLGREN, SECONDED BY MR. DOMINIX TO ACCEPT RESIGNATION
WITH REGRET.

LETTER OF COMPLAINT - RYSKA vs FAULKNER:
NEITHER PARTY WAS PRESENT AT THE MEETING~
AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION, CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH REQUESTED A SPECIAL MEETING
TO BE HELD WITHIN TWO WEEKS WITH BOTH PARTIES PRESENT.
MR. LAMAN SUGGESTED A COPY OF MR. RYSKA"S LETTER BE SENT TO MR. FAULKNER
ALONG WITH A COVER LETTER REQUESTING'HIM TO APPEAR BEFORE.THE BOARD UNLESS
THE PROBLEM WAS RECTIFIED AND THE BOARD SECRETARY WAS NOTIFIED. A COPY OF
THIS WOULD ALSO BE GIVEN TO CODE ENFORCEMENT.
15 MINUTES TO PUBLIC:
MR. STEVE PITMAN, VERO BEACH STATED HE 'WAS MOVING TO SEBASTIAN AND WANTED
TO OPEN AN A/C AND APPLIANCE SERVICE BUSINESS AND ASKED WHAT KIND OF
LICENSE WOULD'BE NEEDED AND IF A BLOCK EXAM WOULD BE REQUIRED.
AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION, CHAIRMAN.BALLOUGH SAID A LICENSE COULD BE
OBTAINED THROUGH THE C~ERK'"S OFFICE FOR AN APPLIANCE SERVICE BUT A HARV
CLASS "C" LICENSE WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR SERVICING A/C AND THAT A BLOCK
EXAM WOULD HAVE TO BE TAKEN.
MR. DOMINIX PROVIDED COPIES OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY'S LICENSING PROCEDURES
AND ORDINANCE NO. 85-36 AND REQUESTED IT BE PLACED ON THE AGENDA FOR THE
AUGUST MEETING. HE ASKED THAT THE BOARD MEMBERS REVIEW IT.
BLOCK EXAM SCORES WERE REGISTERED IN THE SCORE BOOK BY MR~ HALLGREN AND
MR. DOMINIX.
