MOLER, MR. PALMER, VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY. ABSENT: CHAIRMAN HARRIS, EXCUSED; MR. RIZIO, UNEXCUSED. ALSO PRESENT, MR. NEUBERGER, CITY ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL INSPECTOR. MR. MOLER POINTED OUT THAT ON THE MINUTES DATED 6/11/85, PAGE 1, SUB PARAGRAPH 1, THE WORD REQUIRE SHOULD BE' REQUEST. MOTION BY MR. MOLER, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF 6/11/85 WITH CORRECTION MADE. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. HOFFMAN, SECONDED BY MR. DOMINIX TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF 6/17/85. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. HOFFMAN, SECONDED BY MR. DOMINIX TO APPROVE THE MINUTES DATED 6/24/85. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. MOLER, SECONDED BY MR. SCHAUMAN, NICK/JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER/BLOCK EXAM SEPTEMBER MOTION BY MR. MOLER, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP TO APPROVE APPLICATION TO TAKE THE JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER BLOCK EXAM IN SEPTEMBER.~ CARRIED. MATSON,.ARNE/IRRIGATION/BLOCK EXAM - SEPTEMBER MOTION BY MR. PALMER, SECONDED BY MR. MOLER TO APPROVE APPLICATION TO TAKE THE IRRIGATION BLOCK EXAM PENDING A PHOTO BE BROUGHT IN BEFORE THE EXAM IS GIVEN. CARRIED. MATSON, ARNE/WATER CONDITIONING/BLOCK EXAM - SEPTEMBER MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. MOLER TO APPROVE APPLICATION TO TAKE THE WATER CONDITIONING BLOCK EXAMPENDING A PHOTO BE BROUGHT INBEFORE THE EXAM IS GIVEN. CARRIED, SEBASTI,AN...C. ONSTRUCTION BOARD REGULAR MEETING - JULy~ 9., 1985 A DISCUSSIONFOLLOWED CONCERNING A LETTEROF COMPLAINT FROM MR. CHARLES GIFFORD AGAINST ATLANTIC POOL & SPA. (JOSEPH KUNDROT, STATE CERTIFIED RESIDENTIAL POOL CONTRACTOR.) MR. BALLOUGH VOLUNTEERED TO PAY A VISIT TO MR. GIFFORD AND REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD AT THEIR NEXT MEETING. MOTION BY MR. BALLOUGH, SECONDED BY MR. DOMINIX THAT HIMSELF (BALLOUGH) AND MR. NEUBERGER CHECK THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND PAY A VISIT TO MR. GIFFORD TO SEE IF PLANS WERE FOLLOWED. CARRIED. THERE WAS A LENGTHY DISCUSSION CONCERNING SUB-CONTRACTORS PULLING PERMITS. BILLY ADAMS, ALUMINUM SPECIALTY CONTRACTOR ADDRESSED THE BOARD AS TO THE PROBLEM OF BEING ABLE TO PULL PERMITS ONE WEEK AND BEING DENIED THE NEXT. PER MR. ADAMS, HE WAS "GRANDFATHERED" IN AS AN ALUMINUM CONTRACTOR ALONG WITH TREE OTHERS.~JAMES D. HENDRY, EAST COAST SCREENING, ?) MOTION BY MR. MOLER, SECONDED BY MR. DOMINIX TO CHECK THE RECORDS OF THOSE "GRANDFATHERED" IN TO SEE HOW THE ORIGINAL LICENSE WAS ISSUED AND IF IT SHOWS ALUMINUM CONTRACTOR TO CHANGE THE CURRENT LICENSE AND ALLOW THEM TO PULL PERMITS. CARRIED. VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY MENTIONED THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM IF THE LICENSE SHOWS OTHER THAN MENTIONED ABOVE. HE REQUESTED THE BOARD SECRETARY PULL MR. ADAM'S FILE AND THAT HE WOULD STOP BY CITY HALL TO CHECK IT. MR. TRIPP VOLUNTEERED TO CALL SURROUNDING COUNTIES TO SEE HOW THEY HANDLE SIMILIAR SITUATIONS AND REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD AT THEIR NEXT WORKSHOP. THE NEXT WORKSHOP MEETING WAS SET FOR THURSDAY, JULY 18, 1985 AT 7:00 P.M. DUE TO THE LATENESS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO TABLE DIS- CUSSION OF THE ELECTRICAL CODE UNTIL THE WORKSHOP MEETING OF 7/18/85. THERE WAS A SHORT DISCUSSION ON THE RE-INSPECTION FEES BEING CHARGE, D BY THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT. IN THE ABSENCE OF CHAIRMAN HARRIS AND HIS REPORT HAVEING TALKED WITH MR. FRANCO, BUILDING OFFICIAL, VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY SUGGESTED THE DISCUSSION OF RE-INSPECTION FEES BE TABLED UNTIL THE NEXT MEETING. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. MOLER TO TABLE THE DISCUSSION OF RE-INSPECTION FEES UNTIL THE MEETING OF 7/18/85. CARRIED. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTIONBOARD REGULAR MEETING - JULY 9, 1985 MOTION BY MR. DOMINIX, SECONDED BY MR.
