HomeMy WebLinkAbout07092002 CITY OF SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD ' MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING JULY 9, ~1002 Chairwoman Fox called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Mr. Nicolini Mr. Schmitz Mr. Garland, Jr. Chron. Fox Mr. Taylor VC Allocco Mr. Morris It was noted that Mr. $chmitz would be voting in Mr. Neuberger's place who is no longer on the Board. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular meeting - 6/11/02 MOTION by Morris/Allocco I would like to make a motion that the Board approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 11, 2002. A voice vote was taken. 7 - 0, motion carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS: None OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: EXPERiOR EXAM: Introcaso, Alexander/Residential Contractor Mr. Introeaso was sworn in by Chairwoman Fox. Since Mr. Introcaso was moving to Florida from New Jersey, Mr. Morris asked if New Jersey required a test to be taken in order to be licensed. Mr. introcaso stated that he didn't know since he had been licensed for so many years there. It was noted that no test was required in 1975. He was grandfathered in. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 9, 2002 There was a lengthy discussion as to what the procedures are in the State of New Jersey pertaining to licensing. MOTION by Taylor/Nicolini I'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Alexander Introcaso to take the Experior Exam for Residential Contractor. Mr. Sehmitz -yes VC Allocco -no Mr. Taylor -yes Mr. Nicolini -yes Mr. Garland -yes Chron. Fox -no Mr. Morris -no Roll Call: Motion carried 4 -3. After a lengthy discussion concerning out of state applicants, it was suggested that when an applicant comes from out of state that we ask for licensing procedures for that particular state. VIOLATION HEARINGS: None BUILDING OFFICIAL MATTERS: None BOARD MATTERS: DISCUSSION: New Application The Board briefly looked over the application. MOTION by Morris/Schmitz I'd like to make a motion that we submit the new application to the City Attorney for his approval. A voice vote was taken. 7 - 0, motion carried.
