MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY. CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH AT 7:30 P.M.
PRESENT: ALTERNATE MEMBER MR. DOMINIX, MR. HOFFMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY,
MR. PALMER, MR. RIZIO, CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH.
ABSENT: MR. TRIPP, MR. MOLER, UNEXCUSED.
MOTION BY VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. HOFFMAN TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES OF WORKSHOP MEETING 0N7/18/85.
CARRIED.
COMPLAINT - CHARLES GIFFORD VS JOSEPH KUNDROT, ATLANTIC POOL& SPA
BOTH MR. GIFFORD AND MR. KUNDROT WERE PRESENT AT THE MEETING.
CHAIRMANBALLOUGH STATED THAT AS OF THE LAST MEETING NOT ALL OF THE
REPAIR WORK HAD BEEN DONE AND ASKED MR. GIFFORD IF SINCE THAT MEETING
IT HAD BEEN COMPLETED.
MR. GIFFORDSTATEDTHATTH~Y HAD FIXED THE DIVING BOARD AND DIVING BOARD
AREA THAT THE ONLY THING LEFT WAS THE CRACK IN THE DECK.
CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH ASKED IF THEY HAD INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD FIX IT ANY
TIME SOON, MR. GIFFORD SAIDHE HADN'T HEARD A WORD.
MR. GIFFORD SAID THEY HAD FIXED THE LEAK THAT THE ONLY THING LEFT WAS TO
FIX THE PHYSICAL CRACK.
MR. KUNDROT STATED THAT ALL THAT WAS LEFT WAS' TO FIX THE CRACK AND THAT
THEY WOULD FIX IT.
CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH ASKED WHEN THEY INTENDED TO FIX IT. MR. KUNDROT SAID
IT WOULD BE DONE BEFORE THE END OF THIS MONTH.
CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH ASKED THAT MR. GIFFORD WRITE A LETTER OR ATTEND THE
NEXT BOARD MEETING AND LET THE BOARD KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS IN GOOD
SHAPE.
MOTION BY VICE CHAIRMAN CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. HOFFMAN TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING ON 8/13/85.

THERE WAS A LENGTHYDISCUSSION BETWEEN THE BOARD AND MR. CHUCK NEUBERGER,
ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR, VERO BEACH CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO
RAISE THE BUILDING PERMIT FEES,IN THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN.
THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE WILL GO BEFORE CITY COUNCIL ON 9/18/85 FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING AND SECOND READING.

MR. DOMINIX SUGGESTED THAT THE BOARD WORK INDIVIDUALLY TO COME UP WITH
SOME SUGGESTIONS'AND ALTERNATIVES FOR THE INCREASE IN BUILDING FEES AND
MEET THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK TO DISCUSS THEM.
A WORKSHOP MEETING WAS SET FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 1985 AT 7:00 P.M.
IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS.

SCORES FOR THE BLOCK EXAMS TAKEN IN GAINESVILLE BY ED R. DICKEY,
UNLIMITED ROOFING AND JOHN ROBERTS, JR., RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR WERE
REGISTERED IN THE SCORE BOOK BY MR. HOFFMAN AND MR. DOMINIX.
MR. RIZIO AND MR. HOFFMAN VOLUNTEERED TO MEET THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD
AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1985 TO REGISTER THE
APPLICANTS TO TAKE THE BLOCK EXAM.
MOTION BY MR. DOMINIX, SECONDED BY MR. RIZIO THAT THOSE TRADES NOT CAPABLE
OF PULLING PERMITS, THEIR CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION BE STAMPED "NON-
PERMITTED TRADE".
CARRIED.
THERE WAS A DISCUSSION CONCERNING ALUMUNUM SUB-CONTRACTOR AS TO WHAT HIS
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AND WHAT HIS PRIVILEGES ARE.
CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH REQUESTED THAT AT THE NEXT REGULARBOARD MEETING THAT
MR. TRIPP GIVE THE BOARD THE INFORMATIONHE OBTAINED FROM SURROUNDING
COUNTIES CONCERNING ALUMINUM SUB-CONTRACTORS AND ALSO THE INFORMATION
FROM BLOCK AND ASSOCIATES DISTINGUISHING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
TWO TESTS GIVEN TO ALUMINUM SPECIALISTS.

JUDGING THE FEELING OF THE BOARD, CHAIRMAN BALLOUGH FELT ANY DECISIONS
CONCERNING FENCING SHOULD BE LEFT TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
THERE WAS A BRIEF DISCUSSION PERTAINING TO THE PROPOSED BUDGET.
