PRESENT: MR. LANGLOIS, MR. RIZIO, MR. CAREY, MR. TRIPP, MR. CALMES, MR. PALMER AND CHAI'RMAN HARRIS. MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO ADD TO THE AGENDA APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF AUGUST 23, 1983. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO ADD TO THE AGENDA A DISCUSSION REGARDING THE 1983-1984 PROPOSED BUDGET FOR'THE CONSTRUCTION BOARD. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR.. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO APPROVE THE MEETING MINUTES AS WRITTEN FOR THE AUGUST 23. 1983~ CARRIED, CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE FIRST.MATTER OF BUSINESS WAS TO VERIFY THE UP-DATED A~P[ICATION FOR NORMAN MAC ARTHUR, MASONRY SUB-CONTRACTOR, CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT HE WOULD"PREFER THAT THE FIRST MATTER OF BUSINESS BE THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSING FOR' DAVID SEDELMA1ER AND WILLIAM DE LANGE AS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE BOARD, MOTION BY MR, TRIPP, TO APPROVE THE ISSUANCE: OF THE LICENSE ISSUED TO DAVID SEDELMAIER MR. TR1PP WITHDREW HIS MOTION SINCE H.E HAD APRROVED THE'ISSUANCE AT THE DIRECTION OF TH.E BOARD. MOTION BY MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY' MR, LANGLO1S, TO FORMALLY.ACCEPT THE CHAIRMAN AND ¥)CE CHAI~AN~S ISSUANCE OF A RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTORS LICENSE TO DAVID SEDELMAIER'S LICENSE, CARRIED, MOTION BY'MR, CALMES, SECONDED BY'MR. LANGLOIS, tO FORMALLY ACCEPT THE CHAIRMAN AND 'VICE CHAIRMAN~'S ISSUANCE OF A TILE SUB-CONTRACTORS LICENSE TO WILLIAM DE LANGE. CARRIED, MAC ARTHLKR, NORMAN ~. MASONRY SUB-CONTRACTOR MOTION BY MR. PALMER, SECONDED BY MR, TR1PP, TO APPROVE THE UP-DATED APPLICATION FILE OF ME, NORMAN MAC ARTHUR FOR THE ISSUANCE OF. A MASONRY SUB-CONTRACTORS LICENSE. CARRIED, CHAIRIIAN HARRIS STATED THAT' THE MEETING WOULD ADJOURN AND RE-.OPEN AFTER THE NEW' APPLICAt. LANGLOIS, TO HOLD THE APPLICATION ONRFILE AND TO TABLE ANY ACTION UNTIL FIIRT~ NOTIFIED, CARRIED. PURKHISER.~ OAMES - ROOFING CONTRACTOR ~B~IRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT THE COVER SHEET OF THE APPLICATION READ 1- TABLE UNTIL VERIFIED IF TESTING IS REQUIRED, 2-TYPE OF LICENSING APPLIED FOR 3, CORPORATE RESOLUTION NOT INCLUDED, AND RECOMMENDED THAT TH.E APPLICATION BE TABLED. SEBASTIAN CONST.RUCT.I~.~i~ARD MEETING ~ SEPTEMBER 13, 1983.. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, TO TABLE THE APPL'ICATION ON PURKHISER UNTIL HE IS PRESENT AT THE MEETING. CARRIED, MR, TRIPP RERORTED THAT HE HAD CHECKED ON L1CENS~G IN SURROUNDING AREAS REGARDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING OE ROOFING CONTRACTORS. EACH AREA SET CLASSES OF ROOFERS AND REQUIRED TESTING. MR. TRIPP ADDED THAT IN SPEAKING TO MR. MCNEW 'OF THE BREVARD BUILDING,HE ADVISED'~THE CONSTRUCTION BOARD TO BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR ~INACTIVE LICENSES BECOMING ACTIVE, THE BREVARD CONSTRUCTION BOARD HAS RECENTLY PLACED A TIME LIMIT ON THE LENGTH OF TIME A LICENSE CAN BE INACTIVE AND RESTORED TO ACTIVE STATUS, I~)R. TRIPP STATED THAT HE WOULD BE BRINGING A COPY OF THE ORDINANCE THAT BREVARD HAD'ADOPTED, MR, CALMES STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE 'THE SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD AND"THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD HAVE SEPERATE BUDGETS. THE SECRETARY STATED THAT THE HEADING CONSUMER AFFAIRS WAS A STATE REQUIREMENT AND. THAT'THEY WOULD HAVE TO..BE HELD TOGETHER ALTHOUGH THEFUNDS ARE ACTUALLY SEPERATE. MOTION BY' MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. LANGLOIS, THAT THE BOARD DOULD THE EEGAL FEES FOR THE ATTORNEY IN THE 1983-1984 BUDGET, CARRIED, MOTION BY' MR. CALMES, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP, TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 8:'25 P.M. CARRIED,
