CALL TO_ORDER ROLL CALL APPROVE MINUTESOF REGULAR MEETING 8/24/84; WORKSHOP 8/28/84; REGULAR MEETING 9/11/84 OLD BUSINESS: FINAL APPROVAL HOGGE , WILTON/ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR PALUMBO, THEODORE/REACTIVATE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS LICENSE JACOBS, DENNIS/ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CHAIRMAN ' S MATTERS: ATTORNEY ' S MATTERS: NEW BUSINESS: SMITH, RONALD/DRYWALL SUB- CONTRACTOR MILLAY, ROBERT/TILE INSTALLATION 15 MINUTES TO PUBLIC ADJOURN: NOTE: IF ANY PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE ON THE ABOVE MATTERS, HE/SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND FOR SUCH PURPOSES, HE/SHE WILL NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY IN EVIDENCE ON WHICH THE APPEAL IS BASED. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD - SEPTEMBER 13~ 1984 MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 1:03 P.M. BY CHAIRMAN HARRIS. PRESENT: MR. RIZIO, MR. TRIPP, MR. CAREY, CHAIRMAN HARRIS, MR. PALMER, ATTORNEY PALMER. ABSENT: MR. MOLER, EXCUSED. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF MEETINGS HELD AUGUST 24, 1984 AND SEPTEMBER 11, 1984. CARRIED. HOGGE, WILTON/ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR - LETTER OF RECEPROCITY MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY TO ACCEPT LETTER OF RECIPROCITY AND PROPER CORPORATION PAPERS AND ISSUE LICENSE. CARRIED. PALUMBO, THEODORE/REACTIVATE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS LICENSE MOTION BY MR. PALMER, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP TO APPROVE REACTIVATING PLUMBING CONTRACTORS LICENSE AND ISSUE LICENSE. CARRIED. JACOBS, DENNIS/ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR - BLOCK TEST APPROVAL MOTION BY MR. CAREY, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP TO GIVE FINAL APPROVAL TO BE BLOCK TESTED. CARRIED. CHAIRMAN ' S MATTERS: CHAIRMAN HARRIS NOTED THAT THE BOARDWAS SHORT ONE MEMBER AND THAT THERE WERE TWO APPLICATIONS BEFORE THE BOARD. HE ALSO STATED THAT IF THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH EITHER APPLICATIONJ AND NO RECOMMENDATION THAT THE CITY COUNCIL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY TO BRING BOTH APPLICATIONS BEFORE CITY COUNCIL FOR THEIR DECISION. CARRIED. ATTORNEY'S MATTERS: ATTORNEY PALMER REQUESTED FORMER CITY ATTORNEY KILBRIDE AND THE CITY CLERK TO CHECK FOR POSSIBLE DRAFTS OF RULES AND REGULATIONS AS WELL AS POSSIBLE ORDINANCES REGARDING PROCEDURE FOR THE BOARD. MR. TRIPP MENTIONED THE.PROBLEMS~'WITH TESTING PROCEDURES IN THE PAST. IT WAS VOTED BY THIS BOARD THAT THOSE PEOPLE IN QUESTION HAD NOT ALTERCATED THEIRSCORES, IT WAS DONE INTERNALLY iN THE CITY. SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION BOARD - SEPTEMBER 13~ 1984 MR. TRIPP ASKED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THESE PEOPLE MOVED TO ANOTHER AREA AND WANTED TO RECIPROCATE WITH THIS CITY? CHAIRMAN HARRIS STATED THAT IT WAS VOTED AT THAT TIME THAT THE LICENSE WAS AS GOOD AS ANY OTHER LICENSE BUT THAT WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO OUR SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES THAT REQUIRE CERTAIN CRITERIA. WE HAVE TO SEND TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES THEIR SCORES AND WHETHER IT WAS PROCTORED OR NOT. IT IS UP TO THAT BOARD TO MAKE THE DETERMINATION IF THAT SCORE MEETS THEIR REQUIREMENTS. ATTORNEY PALMER STATED THAT THE MINUTES OF THAT MEETING LISTED THE APPLICANTS BY NAME AND THAT A COPY OF THOSE MINUTES BE PLACED IN EACH OF THEIR FILES. THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD REQUESTED TO BE COMPENSATED FOR THE HOURS WORKED AFTER A NORMAL WORK DAY. MOTION BY CHAIRMAN HARRIS, SECONDED BY MR. TRIPP THAT THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD BE COMPENSATED FOR ANY HOURS WORKED AFTER A NORMAL WORK DAY. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. TRIPP, SECONDED BY MR. CAREY TO ADJOURN MEETING. CARRIED. MEETING ADjourned at 1:30 P.M.
