Ed Paluch made the motion, Huston Tripp seconded it, to accept the minutes of September 26, 1978. Ail in ~vor, none opposed. Huston Trippmade the motion, Merle Hasson seconded it, that any 'member of the Board be able to sign the Certificates, except his own. Merle also stated that in the absence of the Chairman, the vice-chair- man shouldsign them and, in the absence of the vice-chairman another member of the Board, who can easily~.~e~!~nt&~te4, shout4 ~e~.mb~e ~!sign them. All in favor, none opposed. Jim Harris made the motion, Ed Paluch seconded it, that we accept the list that Grace made up of all the persons who have been issued a Certificate at the last meeting, subject to proper insurance. Ail in favor, none opposed. Upon reviewing the applications, one was subject to a lengthy discussion. PalmBay Lathing & insulation is actually two differenttrades but, we did accept this as one. Jim Harris made the motion, Merle Hasson seconded it, that we accept lathing and insulation as one combined trade. Ail in favor, none opposed. Herder Window Co. applied for a certificate for windowsand screens. We felt that this be voted upon as one trade. Huston Tripp made the ~otion, Jim Harris seconded it, that we accept windows and screens as one com- bined trade. Allin favor, none.~opposed. Jim Harris had submitted an application for a plumbers certificate. He said that this really was for Clinton Hale, but because Clint was away at the present time, he is not able to submit one for himselflto the Board. The Board agreed to accept this application and fee submitted by Jim for Clint; however, when Clint does return he will have to sub- mit an application. A motion was made by Huston Tripp, seconded by Chris Kirrie, that we add Sheet Metal to our list of trades. All in favor, none opposed. There were a few applications approved that the person applied for an inactive status. A motion was made by Ed Paluch, seconded by Chris Kirrie, that we have a rubber stamp made to read "INACTIVE." All favor, none opposed. Grace will stamp all certificates issued on an inactive basis with it so that all~..those persons will not have to furnish proof of insurance until they do become active. A motion was made by Ed Paluch, seconded by Jim Harris, that we add "Sod" to Earthwork. Ail in favor, none opposed. A motion was made by Jim Harris, seconded by Ed Paluch that we change concrete forming and placing to read Masonry. This. is all'Connected and so it should be stated as such.' All in favor, none Opposed. Jim Harris made the motion, Ed Paluch seconded~-'it, that we extend this "grandfather" period for another 30 days. Ail in favor, none opposed. This will be advertised in the newspaper and, also, by word of mouth. Ed Paluchmade a motion that the Building Dept. contact, within~i~the next 30 days, anybody actively working in the City of Sebastian to come in a make application for certificate. Jim Harris seconded this motion. All in favor, none opposed. The BuildingDept. will also contact all the people on the "Grandfather list" who have not applied for a certificate to do so. Next meeting will be on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in City Hall, October 10, 1978.
