ROYAL OF MINUTES: (8/10/99) MOTION by Cecrle/AIIocco I'd like to make a motion that we approve the minutes from the August 10th meeting, 1999, of the Construction Board. A voice vote was taken. 7 - 0, motion carded. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Chron. Smith noted that Scott Taylor(a) will vote in place of Meredith Fox. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 12, 1999 MOTION by Cecrle/Herbig I'd like to make a motion that we approve Mr. Falcetta for taking the Expedor Exam for Excavating. Roll call: Michael Herbig - yes Scott Taylor(a) - yes Michael Holdridge - yes VC Thomas Cecrte -yes Chmn. Smith - yes Louis Nicolini - yes Andrew AIiocco - yes The vote was 7 - 0. Motion carried. SCHIMANSKI, JAMES/Residential Contractor Mr. Schimanski, 1561 3r~ Court, Veto Beach, was present and was sworn in by Chmn. Smith at 7:05 P.M. The applicant gave information about his experience in the construction industry. Other questions from Board members were answered satisfactorily. Mr. Schmanski noted that he is a resident alien of this country. MOTION by Cecrle/Holdridge I'd like to make a motion that we approve Mr. Schimanski for the Experior Exam for Residential Contractor. VIOLATION HEARINGS: BUILDING OFFICIAL MATT. ERS;. Mr. Bonacci noted that a violation case will be coming to this Board in a month or so. He also noted that the first reading of the adoption of the 1997 Building Code will be presented to City Council at their meeting of October 13, 1999. He gave further information about the 1999 Electrical Code, and the unified State Building Code. He noted that the second reading will be in two weeks or Nov. 3rd if the first reading passes. There was a brief discussion about the issue of Licensing of Contractors. None LEASE, THOMAS/Drywall Thomas Lease, 2440 87th Ave., Veto Beach, was present and was sworn in by the Chairman at 7:14 P,M. There were no other nominations, and Mr. Tom Cecrle was elected Chairman by a vote of 7 - 0. Chmn. Smith nominated Michael Herbig for Vice Chairman. There were no other nominations and Mr. MiChael Herbig was elected Vice Chairman by a vote of 7 - 0.
