All members present except for Clint Hale.
Motion by Merle Hasson, seconded by Ed',~Paluch to accept the minutes of
October 17, 1978 and the minutes of October 25, 1978.~?~1 in favor,
none opposed.
The following persons submitted application to this Board and all
were approved:
George Colby, Aluminum Specialty and Roofing Contractor
Hugo R. Loseke, Building Contractor (.in addition to the approval on October
2, 1978 for Roofing Contractor and HARV Contractor)
Luther H. Lewis, Hobbs Electric, Inc. - E~ctrical Contractor
Lewis R. Worcester, Painting Contractor
Denhis Carl Brodsky, Residential Contractor
David R. Cadmus, Swimming Pool Contractor (Aire-Lite Industries ~
Stephen J. Gross, Plumber Contractor
Grover Fletcher, MaLine Contractor, House Moving and Demolition~
Mr. Robert White was present at this meeting. He was here because of the
letter the Building Dept sent to him stating that his application wall be
tabled until the house he is currently working on is finaled and a Cer-
tificate of Occupancy is issued. I~ I t ........
A motion was made by Merle Hasson, seconded by Ed Paluch, to re-open
the case of Mr. White. All in favor, none opposed.
A very lengthy discussion followed resulting in a motion by Merle Hasson,
seconded by Ed Paluch that Robert White be issued a Certificate of Com-
petency as a Residential Contractor. Three~...votes in favur, three against.
Another motion by Huston Tripp, seconded by Chris Kirrie that Robert
White be issued certificates for: Carpenter Sub-contractor, Masonry
~ .... ~~tsr.and Drywall
Contractor, Roofing Contractor.and
Contractor.
Ail in favor, none opposed.
After Mr. White left the meeting, it was brought out that our Ordinance
states, specifically, the procedure to follow in the case of a tie vote,
which is:
"... if a tie vote occurs on any particular action, this shall auto-
matically require a second hearing with all seven (7) members of the
Board present." ~
Mr. White was in the Building Department on NovemBer 9, 1978 and Art
informed him of this. So, when we have a new plumber contractor on the
Board, this application will be acted upon at the next meeting with all
seven members present.
A motion by~.Ed Paluch, seconded by Chris- Kirrie, was to add to
Demolition: Excluding Explosives. All in favor, none opposed.
Ed Paluch made~_~ the motion, Jim Harris seconded it, that Grace will
~ontact all the listed, qualified plumber contractor and ask them if
they are willing to sit on the Board. A~list of all those who are
willing will then be submitted to the City Coun6il for appointment.
