CONSTRUCTION BOARD
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 13, 2001
Acting Chairman Louis Nicolini called the meeting to order at 7:02 P.M.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

ALSO PRESENT: Ann Brack, Recording Secretary
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: (10/9/01)
MOTION by AIIocco/Fox
I'd like to make a motion we accept the minutes from the last meeting. (10/9/01)
A voice vote was taken. 5 - 0, motion carded.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
It was announced that Jim Morris and Chuck Neuberger are excused from this meeting.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS;
(All of the following applicants were sworn in at one time by the Acting Chairman.)
EXPERIOR EXAM:
1. Bernyk, Steven F. / Building Contractor
Steven F. Bernyk, 245 Beverly Court, Melbourne Beach, FL was present and was sworn
in by Acting Chmn. Nicolini at 7:05 P.M.
Board members noted the completeness of Mr. Bernyk's application.

I'd like to make a motion that we allow Mr. Bernyk to take the Experior Exam for
Building Contractor,

The vote was 5 - 0. Motion carried.
2. Dlggs, Justin P. I Building Contractor
Justin P, Diggs, 365 35th Court, SW, Vero Beach, FL was present and was sworn in at
7:05 P.M, by Acting Chmn, Nicolini.
There was much discussion with this applicant and some confusion about Company
name and time worked, Board members were looking for more documentation on actual
construction work experience and confirmation of employment by a licensed general
contractor from a Construction Company (including the license number).
MOTION by AIIocco/Taylor
I'd like to make a motion that we ask Justin Diggs to return next month with any
additional information that you could put in the application that would help you
convince us that you have this time in, specifically, a letter from the GC stating
that the Company's license number is - xyz - and that you were employed in this
capacity hera, here, here, so that we can easily see the time,
Discussion: Scott Taylor suggested that the functions performed, such as trusses or
form work or whatever, need to be clarified along with the specific dates. Meredith Fox
suggested that a letterhead that indicates a General Contractor or Construction
Company and includes a license number would be preferable instead of a Management
Company. Andrew AIIocco indicated that a W-2 should reflect the same company name.

3. Sprague, Richard S. I Electrical Contractor
Richard S, Sprague, 3161 Elizabeth St., West Melbourne, FL was present and was
sworn in by Acting Chmn. Nicolini at 7:05 P.M,

I'll make a motion that we approve Richard Scott Sprague to take his Experior
Exam for Electrical.

4. Arcure Jr., Angelo I Aluminum/Concrete
Mr. Arcure, Jr. is not present.
5. Grier, Tony I Drywall
Tony Grier, 1343 Clearbrook St., Sebastian, FL was present and was sworn in at 7:05
P.M. by Acting Chmn. Nicolini.
MOTION by Taylor/Garland
i'd like to make a motion that the Board approve Tony Grier to take the Experior
Exam for Drywall Specialty Contractor.

6. Hart, Richard I Journeyman Plumber
Richard Hart, 106 Indian River Apartments, Indian River Boulevard, Vero Beach, FL was
present and was sworn in at 7:05 P,M, by Acting Chmn. Nicolini.
Board members asked many questions and suggested that Mr. Hart get written
verification of experience from the master plumber he worked under at the Hospital. It
was suggested that the Personnel Department at the Hospital could help him to contact
this master plumber who has moved to southern Florida.
MOTION by AIIocco/Taylor
I'd like to make a motion that we allow Rick Hart the time to go back to his
supervisor and see if we can't get more documentation as to what plumbing
license he worked under.
