All members present except for clint Hale and Merle Hasson.
A motion by Jim Harris, seconded by Chris Kirrie, that the minutes
of November 7, 1978 be approved, with the...following corrections:
Paragraph $3 - strik'e the sentence : "He did not like this."
Paragraph $6 - strike sheet rock contractor to this list of certi-
ficates to be issued to Robert White.
All in favor, none opposed.
Those persons, whose applications were approved by this Board, are:
Kenneth Klave - Building Contractor
clifford Broadway, Broadway Enterprises - Drywall Contractor
Gerald M. Petrie - Masonry Contractor and Carpenter Sub-contractor-
A letter from Carroll simes, sent to the Building Dept. was read in
full at this meeting. He plainly stated that he will not accept any
certificate other than General Contractor from this Board. We dis-
cussed this and, Buck f~lt that, according to the evidence submitted
(whiCh there was none), we have every right to issue him a certifi-
cate as a Residential Contractor. He showed nothing of doing any
commercial work in the City 6f Sebastian during the past two years,
prior to our ordinance.
A letter sent to Art Mayer from Terry Verner, from the State Licensing
Board, was also read. Copies attached.
We will h~e a hearing on December 12, 1978 regarding this letter.
Buck will write all the letters to Mr. Wakefield and Mr. McLain.
This will involve two different hearings. First one will be action
against Mr. Wakefield and then we will deal with Mr. McLain.
A motion by Huston Tripp, seconded by Ed Paluch, that we submit
David Hines~-'name to the City council for appointment to the Board
as the new Plumber Contractor. All in favor, none opposed.
Next meeting will be December 12, 1978 at City Hall at 9 a.m.
