MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 2000 Acting Chairman Michael Holdridge called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Frank Garland Louis Nicolini Andrew AIIocco Scott Taylor ALSO PRESENT: Michael Holdridge Meredith Fox Pierre Paquette(a) Kathy NapPi, Secretary/Administrative Assistant Ann Brack, Recording Secretary APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION by Taylor/Fox I make a motion we approve the minutes for October 10th' as written. A voice vote was taken. 7 - 0, motion carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Acting Chmn. Holdridge welcomed new member Frank Garland to the Board. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: EXPERiOR EXAM: 1. HENGERER, RAYMOND/POOL MAINT. & REPAIR Mr. Raymond Hengerer, 125 46th Ave., Vero Beach, FL., was present and was sworn in by the Chairman at 7:05 pm. There was a brief discussion on requirements for Pool Maintenance and Repair. MOTION by TaylorlNicolini I make a motion that we approve Raymond Hengerer to take the Experior Exam for Pool Maintenance & Repair. CONSTRUCTION BOARD MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF NOVEMBER 14, 2000 There was discussion with this applicant. MOTION by Nicolini/Taylor I'd make a motion that Mr, Banas be allowed to take the Experior Exam for Painting Contractor. Roll call: Meredith Fox - yes Scott Taylor - yes Andrew AIIocco - yes Louis Nicolini - yes The vote was 7 - 0. Motion carried, Frank Garland - yes Pierre Paquette(a) - yes Actg. Chmn, Holdridge -yes VIOLATION HEARINGS; None BUILDING OFFICIAL MATI~ERS: None BOARD MATTERS: There was discussion about a prospective applicant in the electrical business who is from another state, has about ten years experience, has all of his W-2's, but one of his previous employers has passed away and his company closed, and another has closed his business and can't be reached, He apparently has two years experience with an electrical company that he was not verified as an electrician, He currently works for East Coast Electric Company and has proven his ability, and Mike Holdridge asked if this Board would consider this person's application for a journeyman license with a letter from Mike verifying his ability. He also noted that there are other letters of recommenda- tion available from past employers, but there is a brief period of time that is not verifiable because of the two previously mentioned problems. He also noted that this person is an excellent electrician, The Board members discussed this issue and the consensus was that they would consider this applicant for licensing.
