TIAN AND CHANGING THE TERRITORIAL
LIMITS OF SAID CITY BY THE ANNEXATION OF
SAID UNINCORPORATED TRACT OF LAND LYING
CONTIGUOUS THERETO ANDWlTHIN INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA:
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1
That the CIty of Sebastian did declare its intention to annex into the
limits of the City of Sebastian the property hereinafter described by the
adoption of an ordinance of said City, which ordinance was finally adopted
and approved on the 29th day of July, 1957, and which said ordinance was
thereupon published once a week for four consecutive weeks in the Indian
River News, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, in the issues thereof of August 8,
15, 22 and 29, !957, a.s will more fully appear by sworn proof of publication
thereof filed i,n the records of said City, and said City does herewith fincI
and determine that no notice has been served upon the Mayor of said City of
any petition filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of indian R. iver:
County, Florida, objecting to said annexation, and does herewith find that no
petition has been filed in said Court objecting to said annexation, as will mor(~
fully appear by certificate of said Clerk of said Court filed with said City and
that more than thirty days have expired from the approval of said Ordinance,
SECTION 2
That the City of Sebastian does herewith annex into the territorial
limits of said City and does herewith change its territorial limits by its
annexation of the following described unincorporated tract of. land lying con-
tiguous thereto in Indian River County, Florida, and the boundary lines of the
City ~vf f;ebastian are herewith redefined so as to include thereto the following::
described property, situated in Indian River County, Florida, to-wit:

From the Northeast corner of Government Lot 1, Section 1,
Township 31 South, Range 38 East, run South along Range
line 38 and 39 to the North right of 'way of the Trans Florida.
Railway, thence Southwesterly along the North side of said
right of way to the intersection of said Trans Florida Rail-
way and half section line of Section 23, thence North along
said half section line, through Section 23, and continuing
along half section line of Section 14 to the Northwest corner
of Southwest quarter of Northeast quarter of Section 14,
thence East on quarter line to the intersection of centerline
of Roseland Road as it now exists, thence Northerly on the
Roseland Road to the intersection of the Fleming Grant line,
thence Northeasterly along said Flen-Ang Grant line to the
point of beginning; Less, however,
1. Government Lot 2, Section 11, Township 31 South, Range
38 East.
2. The property described in the deed to Trustees of Colored
Baptist Church, as in Deed Book 5, page 454, as follows,
wit:
Begin at a point 4.52 chains South and 8.93 chains
West of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter,
in Section 1, Township 31 South, Range 38 East, run
South 100 feet, thence East 100 feet, thence North 100
feet, thence West 100 feet to the point of beginning.
3. The property described in the cteed to S. A. Braswell, as
in Deed Book 54, page 212, St. Lucie County recorcls, as
follows, to-wit:
Beginning 453 1/2 feet South of the Northeast corner
of the Southeast quarter of Section 1, Township 31
South, Range 38 East, thence running South on Range
line 208 1/2 feet, thence West 589 feet, thence North
369 feet, thence East 462 feet, thence South 159 feet,
thence East 127 feet to the point of beginning, less
!00 feet square in the Northeast corner which has
been conveyed to a Colored Church. Containing
4 1/2 acres, more or less.
4. The property described in the unrecorded deed to George
Florshutz and Margaret Florshutz, his wife, dated May 24,
1955, as follows, to-wi:t:
North 288.8 feet of the East 580.8 feet of the North-
east quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 1,
Township 31 South, Range 38 East, containing 3.84
acres, more or less.
5. The North 10.25 acres of Government Lot 1, Section
Township 31 South, Range 38 East.
SECTION 3
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith or incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its becoming a law without such
approval.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed by the City
Council on the 16th day of September, 1957.
