T~ -~ An Ordinance Imposing a License Tax on persons, Firms or Corporations Furnishing EleCtric Light or Power, or Both; and ~ Persons, Firms or Corporations Operating Ice ~acteriea, In- cluding Cold Storage Plants Connected Therewith, in the City of Sebastian, Florida; prescribing Penalties for Violation of this Ordinance; and for other Purposes. Be It Ordained by the Mayor and City Council of the City~of Sebastian, Florida: Sec. 1. That no person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of furnishing electric light or power, or both, within the City of Sebastian, Florida, unless such person, firm or corporation shall first secure a license to conduct said business in said City, which license shall be procured and obtained in accordance with the provisions of the general City license ordinance of Sebastian, Florida; and any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of furnishing electric light or power, or both, in the City of Sebastian, Florida, shall pay a license tax of $ per annum. Sec.' 2. That no person, firm or corporation shall operate an ice factory within the City of Sebastian, Florida, unless such person, firm or corporation shall first secure a City license so to do, which license shall be procured and obtained in accordance with the provisions of the general City LiCense ordinance of Sebastian, Florida; and any person, firm or corporation operating an ice factory in the City of Sebastian, Florida, shall pay a license tax of $ ~ ~,~ per annum; provided, that when any person, firm or corporation shall have been licensed to operate an ice factory in the City of Sebastian, Florida, this shall include the right to opera'te a cold storage plant connected therewith, a~d the right to sell the manufactured output of said factory at wholesale or retail... Sec. 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of t~is ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding sixty days, either one or both at the discretion c~ the court trying the offender. Sec. 4. Ail ordinances and parts oi~ ordinances in conflict h~rewith are hereby repealed. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its passage without such approval.
