this Ordinance.

Sec. 1. ~at from ~d after the fi=st day of ~ay, 1930, ~e
Florida East Coast kallway Company shall, ~d it is hereby required
to const~ct ~d ~intain at the crossi~ of its railroad on Eain
Street in the City of Sebasti~, Florida, safety gates or sisals
so const~cted and operated as to give timely wa~l~ of the approach
of trains; or, in lieu thereof, to keep and provide at all times a
watc~ at said crossing, whose duty it shall be to warn ~d pro-
tect the public while passing over or usi~ the track or tracks of
said railway company at said crossing.
Sec. 2. That f~ilure to comply v~ith the p~ovisions of this
ordinance on and after the first day of ~ay, 1930, shall con-
stitute a violation thereof, and each day or portion of a day
thereafte~ that such ~ailway company s~ll fail or refuse to
provide such gazes or sisals or keep ~d maintain such watc~an
at such crossing described in Section I of this ordinance shall
constitute a separate offense, and for each such offense such com-
ply shall be p~i~ed by a fine not exceeding One H~dred Dollars,
and the jud~ent o~ sentence therefor may be sued upon and recove~
enforced in ~y court of competent jurisdiction in the state of
Florida.
Sec. 3- All Ordinances or pa~ts of Ordin~ces inconsistent
with or conflicting with the provisions of this Ordi~nce be, ~d
the s~e are, hereby repealed.
Sec. 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force ~d effect
on and after ~Eay l, 1930-
hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly
p~ssed by the City Council the--~4~th day of March, 1930.
