Located at 600 U.S. Highway 1 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and CR 512 (Sebastian Boulevard), the park provides direct public access to the Indian River and is one of the City's most important recreational and waterfront assets. In 2023, the City completed a comprehensive redevelopment plan focused on strengthening the connection between the waterfront and the downtown area. Through community engagement and technical analysis, the plan identified several catalytic projects necessary to support the long-term revitalization of the waterfront. The redevelopment of Riverview Park was identified as a key priority to enhance public access to the water and expand waterfront recreation opportunities. The City is currently completing final design for the first phase of improvements, with construction anticipated to begin in late 2026. Phase I will include renovation of the waterfront trail system, improvements to the fishing pier and upgrades to restroom facilities. Additional improvements will include expanded overflow parking, including boat trailer parking to enhance the park's waterfront setting and improve visitor access to the Indian River.
