AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA,
TRANSFERRING TO THE CITY MANAGER ALL OF THE MAYOR'S
RESPONSIBILITIES UNDRE THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN'S STANDARD
OPERATING PROCEDURES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
That Paragraph A of Sub-section 1.02 of Section I, Part II,
of the City of Sebastian Standard Operating Procedures, now
reading as follows:
"A. The Mayor is responsible for the administration and
technical direction of the City Personnel Management
System."
IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
"A. The City Manager is responsible for the Administration
and technical direction of the City Personnel Management
System. Throughout this Code the word "Mayor" shall
mean "City Manager."
SECTION II
This Ordinance shall be effective upon installation of the
Mayor following the election in the City of Sebastian on March 8,
1988.

the City of Sebastian; thata publi.c hearing hereon was held in
