A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN,
FLORIDA, SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORS OF
SAID CITY A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION
2.0S OF THE CHARTER OF THE CiTY OF SEBASTIAN
WHICH WOULD FiX COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR
AND COUNCILMEN; AND LIMIT BUSINESS EXPENSES
OF THE MAYOR AN9 COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, more than ten (10%) percent of the
electors of the City of Sebastian, Florida, have submitted
petitions to the Council requesting that the Council submit
to the electors of said City a proposed amendment to the
Charter of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to comply with said
petitioners and the requirements of Section 166.031,
Florida Statutes (1981);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of
the City of Sebastian, Florida, that the following question
shall be submitted by referendum to the electors of the City
of Sebastian at the next general election held within the
City, March 9, 1982:
"Should Sec. 2.05 of the Charter of the City
of Sebastian be amended to read as follows:
'Sec. 2.05. Compe.nsation: Expenses;
(1). Compensation: The salary of the Mayor,
vice.mayor, and Councilmen shall be paid monthly
as follows:
a. Mayor: Eight hundred ($800.00) dollars;
b, Vice-mayor; Two hundred and fifty
($250.00) dollars;
c. Councilmen: One hundred and fifty
($150.00) dollars;
(.2). Expenses: When it is deemed desirable
by the entire city council that the mayor or any
member of the council attend any function on city
business, their expenses will be allowed in
accordance with Florida Statute No. 112.061.'"

The City Clerk is hereby directed to have the
above questions appear on all city ballots for the March 9,
1982 election.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing R~solution
was passed by the City Council of the City of Sebastian,
Florida, on the ~o~ day of I~j , 1982.
