A RESOLUTION IMPLt~ENTING THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 2-16 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY
SETTING FORR~ ITEMS TO BE INCLUDED ON CITY
COUNCIL AGENDAS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has detemined that certain changes
regarding the format of its Agenda should be undertaken; and
WHEREAS, the Council has detemined such changes are in hamony
with Section 2-16 of the Code of Ordinances; will enhance citizen input into
its deliberations; and assist the Council to accomplish its duties in an
efficient manner;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Sebastian, Florida, as follows:
SECTION I
The City Clerk is directed to prepare the Agenda of all meetings,
Regular and Special, of the City Council in the following format, when applicable.
1. Call to Order
2. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
3. Invocation
4. Roll Call
5 Proclamations and/or Announcements
6 Approval of Minutes
7 Committee Reports
8 Public Input on Agenda Items
9 Consent Agenda
10 Old Business
11. Mayor's Matters
12. City Council Matters
13. City Attorney's Matters
14. New Business
15. Adjourn
SECTION II
Public Hearings on Ordinances or Resolutions should be scheduled prior
to the first or second regular meeting of the Council whenever possible.
SECTION Ill
Any person desiring the Clerk to place an item on a City Council
Agenda must either appear in person before the Council at its Workshop Meet-
ing or submit a request to appear on the agenda in writing. Said written
request shall be accompanied with sufficient documents or other information
to inform the Council of the nature of the request. Said written request must
be submitted no later than 12:00 NOON on the Friday prior to the next Council
Meeting.
SECTION IV
At the Council meeting, emergency items may be considered by the
Council by the unanimous decision of the members of the City Council present
at the meeting.
SECTION V
~his Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its enactment
and shall supersede Resolution NO. R-84-18A, dated June 20, 1984.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed by
the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, on the ~/~ day of
