HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-33RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE CALANDER YEAR OF 1984-1985. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that: SECTION I The City of Sebastian, Florida, shall levy a general ad valorem tax of 4.9972 mills upon each One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars of all real and tangible personal property within the City limits subject to taxation on the first day of January, 1985, to finance current operating expenses of the City. The tax shall be assessed and collected in the manner provided by law. The millage rate levied hereby does not exceed the rolled- back rate computed pursuant to Section 200.065 (1), of the Florida Statutes. SECTION II It shall be the duty of the Director of Finance of the City of Sebastian to deposit the proceeds of the tax levy into a seperate account as provided by law and to keep such account and make payments from it as shall from time to time be directed by th~ City Council. SECTION III This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its final adoption.
