A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA
AMENDING THE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OF THE CITY, AND HEREBY
MAKING CERTIFICATION AS A BUILDING OFFICIAL OR
BUILDING INSPECTOR A RECOMMENDATION, BUT NOT A
REQUIREMENT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the last sentence in the second page of the job
description of the Building Offficial, in Part V of the City of
Sebastian's STandard Operating Procedures, now reading as follows:
"Certification as a Buildin9 Inspector required."
IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
"Certification as a Building Official or Building
Inspector is recommended, but is not necessarily
required."
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to amend page two of the
said job description of the Building Official as specified in para-
graph 1, above, and to distribute the amended copies to the Department
Heads, Members of the City Council, and the Mayor, for inclusion
into their copies of the Standard Operating Procedures.
3. The City Clerk shall note on the newly amended second page
of the said job description as follows:
"As amended by Resolution No.~-~J~.~6 , May 6, 1985.
4. This Resolution shall be effective as of May 6, 1985.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed
by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, on the 6th
day of May, 1985.
