A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AMENDMENTS TO THE COASTAL
FLORIDA POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, INC. AGREEMENT
FOR POLICE LIEUTENANTS FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1,
1988 THROUGH AND INCLUDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1989;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1988, the City of Sebastian entered
into
Benevolent
conditions
City; and
a two year agreement with the Coastal Florida Police
Association, Inc., for wages, benefits and other
affecting employment of police lieutenants with the
WHEREAS, the referenced agreement pertains to the period
commencing on October 1, 1987 and ending September 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, during the second year of the agreement, wages and
not more than two other articles may be reopened at the option of
each party; and
WHEREAS, during the second year of the agreement, additional
articles may be reopened at the mutual agreement of both parties;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent
Association, Inc. have negotiated wages and other articles to be
effective during the second year of the referenced agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent
Association, Inc. have reached tentative agreement on the
amendments to said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION 1. The document entitled "Sebastian P.B.A.
Contract (Police Lieutenants)," accepted by the City Council on
March 9, 1988, as revised with Articles dated October 1, 1988,
which documents are attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibits "A" and "B", are hereby adopted as the employment
agreement between the City of Sebastian and the Coastal Florida
Police Benevolent Association, Inc. for those police lieutenants
employed by the City, for the period commencing on October 1,
1988 and ending on September 30, 1989.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
This Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Sebastian, Indian River
at its regular meeting held on the ~' day of
1988.
