A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE RECOMMENDATION TO
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF BREVARD COMMUNITY COTW~GE FOR
A NAME CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR THE RECOMMENDATION OF A
CHANGE IN THE NAME OF THE BREVARD COUNTY LAW
ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY TO HONOR PAUL J. KREUZKAMP, JR.;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Indian
River County, Florida, wishes to acknowledge the unselfish and
dedicated public service rendered to the community by its former
Assistant city Attorney, Paul J. Kreuzkamp, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to recommend to the Board
of Trustees of Brevard Community College that the name of the
police academy now known as the Brevard County Law Enforcement
Academy be changed in honor of Paul J. Kreuzkamp, Jr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. CHANGE OF NAME. That the City Council hereby
requests that the Board of Trustees of Brevard Community College
change the name of the law enforcement academy now known as the
Brevard County Law Enforcement Academy to "The Paul J. Kreuzkamp,
Jr. Police Academy" in recognition of the fifteen years of
service that Paul J. Kreuzkamp, Jr. devoted to the law
enforcement community of Brevard County, Florida.
Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall take
effect immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Resolution was moved for adoption by
Councilman Frank 0berbeck

by Councilman Robert McCarthy
and, upon being put to a
vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared this Resolution duly passed and
