Home My WebLink AboutR-03-32RESOLUTION NO, R-03-32 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN~ INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTEA PUBUC TRANSPORTATION JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT ADDENDUM FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation has agreed to provide additional funding to the original grant for infrastructure work to the Sebastian Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, the City of Sebastian agrees to certain conditions to such funding; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, as follows: Section 1. AUTHORIZATION. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SUPPLEMENTAL JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT Project No. 236320-1-94~01. Section 2. CONFLICTS. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Resolution was moved for adoption by Councilmember Coniglio . Due to permitting delays caused by unanticipated environmental issues, the project has been delayed by nearly a year. Though this substantial holdup has been upsetting, the project is now fully permitted and we are able to move toward bidding and construction. Based on the aforementioned eleven-month delay, the City of Sebastian formally requests that JPA entitled Infi'astructure Improvements be extended to March 31, 2004.
