Riverview Park Play.qround Equipment Replacement
Pro.qram
As a status report relative to the progress of the Riverview Park Playground
Equipment Replacement Program, please be advised that our offices were
informed earlier this week by Sebastian Coldwell Banker that approximately
$10,000 was raised to help finance respective equipment replacements. As
such, arrangements are being made to implement this initiative, whereby a
proposed contract will be soon presented for City Council consideration and
authorization accordingly. Keep in mind that our respective
recommendation will incorporate budgeted Tax Increment Financing funds
to finance the cost balance (excluding other improvements slated for the
area).
County Road 512 Charrette - Presentation to City Council
As mentioned during Wednesday evening's City Council meeting,
arrangements are being made to host a formal public presentation to City
Council and citizenry by the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council to
outline a final report relative to the County Road 512 Conceptual Master
Planning/Charrette Process. This presentation will take place during your
January 10th meeting, as final written documents will be compiled outlining
appropriate ideas for future development and beautification. During this
meeting, the City Council may exercise the opportunity to vote to accept the
plan as well as respective recommendations.

Appointment to Sebastian River Medical Center Board or
.Trustees
Just wanted to inform all of you about my recent appointment to the
Sebastian River Medical Center Board of Trustees. Surprisingly and
unbeknownst to me, I was nominated to serve on the Board during this past
summer. I actually feel honored and privileged to have been selected, as it
is now my hope that my background can and will benefit the organization
accordingly. This appointment is merely that of a volunteer capacity, which
simply adds to a personal commitment in community service. As such, I
recently accepted the offer to serve, as no conflicts with my duties as city
manager are imminent.
Out of the Office - Presentation in Tallahassec
Just a reminder that I will be out of the office next Tuesday and Wednesday,
November 14th and 15th to lobby the State of Florida Board of Historic
Preservation for initial funding to benefit the Sebastian City Hall Restoration
Program. As previously reported (and authorized), both Mayor Barnes and
Director of Growth Management Tracy Hass will accompany me in effort to
effectively solicit initial funding approval; this cycle of funding to directly
finance overall architectural and engineering scope of services for the
restoration. Wish us luck and most importantly, a safe trip!
